I'd be glad to provide some suggestions to correct this, @cct2022.

In your QuickBooks Desktop file, let's change the incorrect EIN that was entered. To proceed, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Company, then choose My Company.
  2. From Company Information, click  Edit
  3. On the left, select Company Information.
  4. In the Federal Employer Identification No. field, enter the correct EIN, then click OK.
  5. You can also contact us so we can update your EIN in our records.

Once done, prepare and file the 941 form. For detailed steps, please see the steps below: File a corrected Federal Form 941 and 940 in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Then, contact the IRS again for further instructions. This is to ensure that you file the form correctly.

I'm also adding this resource incase you decided to e-file your federal tax forms and e-pay your federal taxes electronically: E-file and e-pay federal forms and taxes.

Feel free to reach out to me here and let me know how things look afterward. I'll keep any eye out for your reply. Keep safe!
