Hi there, @marcia9.
I appreciate you for performing some troubleshooting steps to get this issue sorted out. I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to link Amazon to QuickBooks Self-Employed successfully.
To help you with the integration between these two programs, I recommend contacting our Intuit Developer team. They are the best resource for such inquiries as they are the experts on how to link Amazon to access the production of QuickBooks Self-Employed.
You can reach them through this link: Intuit Developer.
In addition, here's a link that you can check out to learn more about how you can import the Amazon order information into QBSE: Amazon integration with QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If there's anything else that I can assist you with, let me know. I'll be around to help you out. Take care!
I tried contacting Intuit Developer, they said I was in the wrong location. I've since been redirected 4 times, I still have not had this issue resolved. I pay monthly for this service, and for it to not work, and to not receive support is extremely frustrating. I would really like to be directed to customer support for QuickBooks self employed.
Thanks for coming back for more support, @marcia9. I can feel what you've gone through with the Intuit Developer phone support team. I'm here to help ensure you're able to link your amazon in the QuickBooks Self-Employed Labs successfully.
You've mentioned that you've disabled the two steps verification. I'd recommend you turn it on again for your amazon account to get it to work. That way, you could enter the code texted to you instead of typing the numbers or letters you see.
Should this be the same issue, I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support team to help you identify the cause of the issue. They can assist you in creating a case to investigate this behavior and check it with our engineers.
For future reference, read through this article and learn about how to create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm always here to help should you have additional concerns. Take care.
I was having the same issue where it would not proceed past the captcha requiring multiple attempts and no connection to Amazon.
*What eventually worked was logging into Amazon from my computer browser. Went to security settings and turned "on" Two Step Verification using my cell for text (I have never used Two-Step Verification for Amazon, so it has never been on.) After receiving the security code via text from Amazon, I entered the code into Amazon and chose to disable OTP (one time passcode) for my browser. After the setup was complete, I returned to the Quickbooks Self Employed, went to Labs and started the link process all over again. This time choosing the "fix" Intuit/Amazon link. Entered my Amazon login credentials once again but saw a new prompt this time. Before I could finish reading it, I received another text code. Entered that new passcode into the Intuit site and viola! At this very moment QB SE is adding my Amazon purchases with detailed purchase info. Hope this helps
I'm glad this worked for you. I'm having the same problem, however this solution isn't for me. This has been a feature I have wanted to access for months, without success.
I was able to get it working by using my iPad browser, then I did receive the text message code. The area in Labs (Amazon) menu did still show an error message for connection error, but I logged out and than back in (as suggested by chat support) and it now works. Horray.
Hey @Jon2266,
Having your Amazon account connected to QBSE is a great time saver, and I’d like to help you get it set up. Can you tell me a little more about your experience when trying to connect? Are you getting an error message? Any information and/or detail will help me help you.
I’m also providing a link with some great info on how to connect your Amazon account. You may have seen this article: Connect your Amazon Business account to QuickBooks, if not, it’s GREAT!
I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from you, please just drop a comment below and we’ll get it done!
I was able to get it setup with a combination of logging and and out, turning on 2 step login on Amazon (may or may not have helped) and trying different browsers, I’m sure it will be a great time saver. Thanks for your interest in helping.
Your comment helped me get past the Fix the problem stage and bypass the CAPTCHA that wasn't working, but even after it said that there would be fancy lists of purchases under Amazon from now on, nothing actually appeared in my transaction list. It still says Amazon only. I tried signing in and out again but it still isn't showing any itemization of purchases. Any ideas?
Thanks for joining us here, yaelstiles.
When you connect your Amazon account, the order details will show if the imported transactions from your linked bank or credit card matched to Amazon. You'll want to make sure that the payment methods you use in Amazon are connected to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Also, transactions using a gift card or promotional credit will not appear in QuickBooks. For more info, here's what we need to know about Amazon integration with QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If this behavior persists, you'll want to reach out to our Customer Support Team so they can investigate this.
You can always reach out to us here if you have other questions. Take care!
