I'm the sole QB user at my company. The current QB version that we're using (2017 Premier) is registered under my boss' name and his email to which I obviously don't have access to.
Since we're about to upgrade to the 2020 Premier version, is it possible for me to just go ahead and purchase the 2020 version under my name and my email and then taking the 2017 qbb file and opening it in the new version? This way, I don't have to always rely on my boss involvement when I reach out to customer service and ask him to forward emails to me?
The reason I want to do this is because my boss hard man to reach and he's never in the office so I usually don't get a response to him for at least several hours, or even a day or two later. Which means issues can't be resolved until I hear back from him.
As another option, ask your boss to open CAMPS with his credential or ask his credential instead to speed up the process. Make sure you can find your 2017 license information in the CAMPS. Then you may assign yourself as the Primary Contact to replace your boss.
