NICE!!!  Yeah I bought ...meaning paid full price before this ransome ware sht began.  How ethically FCKED up is this company!!! Is this any different than the RUssians HACKING hospitals?  I worked 3 days straight to untangle my self from this comapny and they will make it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard its classless and pathetic how this company is trying to get more money out of you.  My advise is step by step change all your information and then change your credit card number to really disconnect with these terrorists.  I spoke to one of TOP agents at fraud in BANK OF AMERICA for an hour about this practice by Intuit and she calls this "clever" economics.  Basically SCUMBAGS!

I was met with your account creation screen again today. It took me a few minutes to get out of and slowed the loading of QB. It also got my blood pressure up and I took the time to come over here to see if anyone was actually listening. You are not. Why do you bother to respond? 

Obviously you only listen to your MASTERS and not to customers. 
To all the folks in this thread, it is time to look for other options to move to. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We need to stop supporting Intuit.

I agree with you.  All of these changes are creating hardships for my clients, who are paying for all of their users and now they need to set up all these accounts.  They had to set up accounts for the cash register, and they are very busy.

I try to login and they have to set permissions for me, and everyone else. in the middle of their workday, and I have always been an Admin.

Then there is the direct deposit changes and logging into the Intuit account when it has been too long. One client had such a horrible time, and no one could help her by phone.

I almost lost an Enterprise (10) User to Net Suite.

Between this and QBO, you are going to lose people, in my humble opinion with (23) years experience.

Here in Florida, this is one of the many reasons most of my clients do not want online.

One hurricane can take power/internet out for a week, or more, and people cannot have their software tied to the internet.

This is going to backfire, and I wish they would rethink this.  My entire business is tied to this software.

Most irritating and beyond fed up with this rhetoric. Now they want a )(*&^% cell number... Like we don't get enough flipping interruptions and spam BS a day..How would the corporate a$$'s like their day interrupted and ads plastered acroos their building or better yet across their windshield as they are driving. This is how I liken the pesky annoyances and 'solicitations' . There is a special place in hell for this kind of deceptive practice

The option to opt out of your Intuit Account is UNAVAILABLE my a$$! Your company INTENTIONALLY put this in the software. As soon as our company can evaluate new accounting software we will go that direction.

 

Sorry Intuit, you have abandoned most of your users on THIS ONE issue alone.

Give the user the option to have that extra security layer if they want, don't force it on them. And as to the other response we got before from your team, it is a load of crap. I have 2021 desktop, I click on the x to close the login window, and then the select file menu opens, and when I select the file, the login window pops up again. Sorry, not acceptable. Place an option in preferences to disable this. Again, it is the user's decision, not Intuit's! Seriously guys, you have become something despicable in deactivating online banking on old editions of the software thus forcing us to upgrade, and now wanting to gather information of our use of the software. Enough of this please.

Wow...Where do so many grown people get the idea that throwing a tantrum is ever the right thing to do? I only have a solution for those that are saying they can't "X out" of the prompt. You can X out by typing anything into the username field of the intuit prompt and clicking next. Then x out of the following box and click cancel. YOUR GOOD, YOUR IN. 2 Seconds of your precious time (or less for those fast clickers types). News flash: Many software companies are modernizing to a shared platform business model so yes, they can market products they feel add value to those customers who would never seek out anything new even if it could greatly benefit them. Microsoft using the Office 365 model, Adobe using Creative Cloud model, most media sites allowing to log in with a Facebook or Google account. Welcome to the future, where companies do what they can to make money, I know, crazy right?! For those that have the Desktop version who "have it so they don't need online services"...You do need online services, to update your software. Not updating your software regularly?! That's a huge mistake since updates via online services are the only way to patch security holes. No release of a software is locked air tight from the start and definitely can't stay air tight as the rest of the software world evolves. Lastly, just because a company doesn't bend to the will of a few people typing in all caps, don't assume they aren't "fixing the problem". They might just be prioritizing things above your tiny slice of perspective. I think the real problem is the way folks devolve into utter rudeness when they don't have full control of everything. I would love to come to this "community" site and see a customer base that engages in productive feedback rather than tainting the message we're trying to send Quickbooks.

I don't need your stinking authorization.  I have my own.  Get rid of this crappy forced thing. You are prying into my business way too much.  Your software stinks and you need to focus on fixing things like the stupid server quits working instead of trying to know every time I open quickbooks!  Intuit is WAY TOO NOSY!

I have been using quickbooks for over 20 years.  This forced sign in to Intuit will make me look elsewhere, like most of the people in this thread.  You cannot x out of it and we shouldn't have to x out of anything everytime we open QBs .   How annoying.  I can't imagine anyone thinking this was a good idea for Quickbooks.

I would love to say what you are saying works but it does not. .  when I try to log in to quickbooks I get the Quickbooks Subscription has lapsed.   i can close which does nothing but take me to the screen that shows my company but will not open it.   I can choose "click to review billing info"   and enter anything in the email and click next and then x out of the next screen but it does nothing.  I am sure that is happening to the people who are upset as I am

I would love to know if someone is doing something about our data being held hostage.  Is there a class action suit that someone has started against Quickbooks.   I think what they are doing is very wrong.  I just spent hours on the phone and nothing.

Did you actually take the time to read this thread or are you just another useless Intuit parroting the script fed to you by your corporate masters?  Do any of you have the ability to actually think critically and articulate a meaningful response. Your copy/paste mantra is making everyone even more angry but you do not have the ability to comprehend this. Welcome to Corporate America in 2021. Completely out of touch with your consumers and reality.

Oh gosh, the person of high virtue has arrived. Gee, yes, we should all just be quiet and accept something that we not only disagree with, but that wastes our precious time. That is their job to respond to this. This is the only place we have a voice. If a company does not want to listen and get constructive feedback from their customers and try to solve issues, it is they that have the problem. Stick with accounting maybe; it has nice rule and little boxes you can stay in.

I have use Quickbooks since 2011 and on my current company, we decided to move to another accounting software once this fiscal year ended and I will actively advise my colleagues to not use Quickbooks or at least update to the latest Quickbooks software that introduce forced Intuit login.

 

The problem here is mandatory online logins means Intuit will have OUR company sensitive information and force our consent so that we'll be able to access our company data, which is not only breaching customer privacy, but also add unnecessary risk of remote security breach and also inconvenient as hell when internet is not available.

 

It's only a matter of time until centralized data breach on Intuit happens and the customer service will not be able to respond in unison saying "This is not the impression that we want you to experience with out program" with shlt eating grin on their face to us customer.

All you have to do to bypass the intuit login is type any character in the box, click ok, then x out of the next window. You people are nuts. Please buy a different product and move on with your angry lives.
