How do I change the fiscal year reporting start date from Jan 1 to Dec 1?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can set the start date of the fiscal year by going to the Account and Settings page. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon at the top. 
2. Under YOUR COMPANY, pick Account and settings.
3. In the left menu, select Advanced. 
4. Go to the Accounting section, and hit the pencil icon. 
5. Select January in the First month of fiscal year field. 
6. Choose Save, then Done. 

Once done, your fiscal year is confirmed.
