How do I purge all of my data to start over?

To purge your QBO account, the account must be within 60 days old (90 for non-US accounts). Follow these steps to reset your company data:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Edit the URL on the address bar. remove everything after app/and enter purgecompany. For example: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
3. Click Yes to confirm the action.
   
4. On the next page, select Wipe data.

However, if it's active for 90 days or more, terminate your account directly on your QBO profile. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Click the Gear icon at the top right section of your Dashboard.
3. Tap Account and Settings.
4. Choose Billing & Subscription.
5. In the Payroll section, click Cancel or Cancel trial.
6. Hit Continue to cancel.
7. Answer the short survey, and select Confirm cancel.

i have 15 years of Data.  Can i just delete the last 10?  My company file is very large.

In purging the data in your QuickBooks Online account, we're not able to filter the date range in deleting the file. However, you can use a third-party app in QuickBooks Online to delete the data for the last 10 years.

You can visit QuickBooks Apps to search for an app that will help your delete the data file.

You may consider this workaround:

1. Export all of you data from QBO to QBD file. You may keep it as archive and utilize the trial license to open it as required.

2. Migrate some data to a new QBO account by using a 3rd party migration tool.

3. Open a new QBO account and cancel your old account once the migration is completed.
