Welcome to the Community, Youngraves.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can delete your data if you need to start fresh with a new QBO company. However, keep in mind that by doing this, the system will permanently erase all data entered into the company, and there's no way to reverse this action.
Furthermore, if your QBO account is still within 60 days of creating, we can purge it. Before doing so, kindly ensure you're logged in as the admin user. To purge the data, see the below steps:
- Log in to your QBO account.
- Change the URL to include /purgecompany. You can also follow this web address: https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
- Enter Yes to confirm to delete your data, then choose OK.
- Pick your industry from the dropdown button ▼.
- Select Create accounts based on my industry to help you set up your chart of accounts after your data gets wiped. Don't select Create an empty chart of accounts without your accountant's advice.
- Once you have finished making your selections, click on the Wipe Data button.
- You will be redirected to your homepage after the deletion is complete.
However, if your account has been active for over 60 days, you have to cancel your current subscription and create a new one. Refer to this article and visual material for further details on this procedure:
Additionally, I'll be leaving you this helpful webpage that has video discussions and tutorials with various QBO features: Learn about QuickBooks Online with how-to videos.
