That is how I used to enter them, but since the update it does not work that way anymore.
Hi danielrobertcope!
I want to make sure that you're able to record the income transactions but I need more info.
Did you encounter an error when you manually enter them in QuickBooks Self-Employed? What do you mean it does not work that way anymore? It'd be best if you can attach a screenshot.
I'll keep an eye on this thread. You can reply anytime. Thanks!
Again it does not work that way. I go to transactions and it does not have all the available fields that you are saying to enter. Only amount and note. No category. No longer does it ask who from.
I have some troubleshooting steps here, so fields will be available again, @danielrobertcope.
Ideally, the cache speeds up your browsing experience by giving fast access to certain data if you need it again. However, this stored information you've recently used can sometimes become corrupted, which leads the program to misbehave.
Let’s perform some steps to get this resolved so you can continue to record the transaction to the Cash account. To start, try to open your QuickBooks Self-Employed account and redo the process using an incognito or private window. You can use these keyboard shortcuts below:
If it works, go back to your main browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative. In addition, it would be best to utilize the Health Checkup Tool. It is used to check multiple aspects of the browser to make sure the application runs seamlessly.

For IOS devices:
But if still, it doesn't work accordingly, consider deleting and reinstalling the app. To do so, here's the link where you can install the app or open the App Store to download it: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accounting/mobile/.
