Join nowGood Morning, @MarieGerlach.
Let's clarify why your reports aren't printing the footer.
To determine the best solution to this matter, I'll need you to provide me with information about your question.
After I have some more insight into the issue, I'll be able to better assist you.
I want to make sure we get your issue resolved, so I'll be waiting for your response.
Thank you for the screenshot, Marie. Let's check to see why your footer is not printed.
This might have something to do with your printing margin. The footer might be too low, and your printer cannot include it anymore. Please adjust the margin of your printer settings and try again.
You can also save a PDF copy of the report, and print it. Check if the PDF includes the footer. If not, we'll do the basic browser troubleshooting steps.
To start, you can start by logging in to QuickBooks using a private browser. This blocks your cache from saving your browsing history. Try printing the report to see if there's a footer. If there is, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. If it's still the same thing, you can try other browsers to isolate the case.
Please let me know if you still need help with your report.
Hello again. Nothing worked except using a different browser. I'll clear the cache and see if that fixes the problem - and it did NOT. I don't want a wacky work around like having to open and save as a pdf to be able to print including a footer. Too time consuming as many reports as I print.
Thanks for your help.
Marie
Good day, MarieGerlach.
An outdated Adobe version can lead to a problem when printing in QuickBooks Online. You may need to update the Adobe Reader.
Here's how:
You can check this article for more information about Downloading Acrobat Reader.
If the problem continues after the update, try repairing the Adobe Reader. See the steps below.
You'll be back to business in no time. Please know I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. I'm more than willing to lend you a hand. Take care!
Hi again! I checked my Adobe - I have the newest available version. Shoot, thought maybe that would fix the issue..... Marie
Good Afternoon, @MarieGerlach.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy to help with getting your footer on your reports.
I'm going to provide steps below with how to add a footer to your reports:
1. Select Reports in the left menu.
2. Choose the report you're needing to run.
3. From the report window, click Customize Report.
4. In the Modify Report dialog box, select the Header/Footer tab.
5. Modify the desired settings.
6. When you finish, click OK. The report now displays the modified settings. (Settings will not be saved unless the report is memorized.)
If these steps don't resolve your issue, I'd suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support Team and speaking with a live specialist.
If you have any more questions, I'm always a comment away. Have a great rest of your day!
Thank you. However, the footer is included when you look at the report on the screen. Seems to be setup fine. It just won't print. :(
Hello there, @MarieGerlach.
Its possible the reason why you can't print your footer is because the margin of your printer doesn't include the footer section of the reports.
If your printer works perfectly, I recommend contacting our phone support representatives directly. Our representatives can provide additional technical support with this printing problem. They can also create an investigation specifically for the issue.
