I used Capital One as my bank and starting April 2021 Quickbooks Online has not been pulling transactions anymore from this account. When I go to the Banking sheet within QBO to Update, it has a green check mark next to my bank accounts indicating there is no error however it says "Updated 4/2/2021," when I have had many additional transactions following that date. I would really prefer not to have to manually upload transactions. Anyone else having this issue?
I can help you with getting your latest transactions from your Capital One account, @sweitz25.
After updating your bank connection manually, try to check your bank's website if you have the latest transactions. If yes, go back to your QuickBooks Online and verify if there's any additional authentication. You'll need to follow the onscreen steps to continue the update.
If there's none, I suggest clearing your browser's cache. It's possible that a piled-up cache in your regular browser caused this unusual behavior when trying to refresh your bank connection. You can clear your current browser’s cache to resolve this.
Go to your account by using a private browser or an incognito window, then try to reconnect this bank. If it works fine, clear the cache in the one that you're currently using.
Here’s how to go incognito or use a private browser:
If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after. You can also proceed by using other browsers if the steps above don’t work.
Refer to the following article to know more of what you can do if you don’t see your recently downloaded bank transactions in QBO: What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error.
I'm always here if you need help or assistance with your bank connection. Just leave a reply below. Take care and have a wonderful day!
Utilize the trial version of SlickConnect to isolate the issue. If the error persists, your bank is the problem.

Yes, me! I'm having a similar situation with Capital Ones credit card transactions not downloading
Let's make sure you'll be able to download your transactions, LStevens866.
QuickBooks automatically downloads transactions once you connect your bank and credit card accounts. You'll want to manually update your bank to refresh and restore the connection. To do this, follow the steps below:
If it's still not updating, check your bank or credit card's website if there is maintenance or alerts. Here's how:
If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks and update it again. For more information on how to fix specific bank errors, I've added this article for your guide: What To Do If You Get Bank Error or Can't Download Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

I am having same issue- QB Desktop Premier Professional 2020 will not accept downloads from Capital One credit card. Please advise!
Hi there, hcarman.
Let me provide some troubleshooting steps to bring in those Capital One Bank transactions into QuickBooks.
You can start by updating your QuickBooks Desktop to get the latest functions and fixes. When the update finishes, close and reopen QuickBooks.
To install the updates, select Yes. Once done, restart your computer for changes to take effect. After that, open again your QuickBooks and download again the Capital One Bank transactions.
If it isn't accepting, make sure you match or delete all of the downloaded transactions for the account. QuickBooks won’t let you make changes if there are still pending transactions.
Then, disconnect the bank from Bank Feeds to refresh the connection. Here's how:
Once done, connect again your Capital One Bank to download latest transactions. If it still won't accept them, you can manually import it into QuickBooks Desktop.
Additionally, I got you this article that can guide you in reconciling your accounts accurately: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me know if you have additional questions by commenting below. I'll be right here until you're able to bring in bank transactions to QuickBooks.
That is how it used to and should still work, BUT IT DOES NOT! This is what I get. CapitalOne blames you and you blame them while we all suffer from the ineptitude of both companies that are too big to talk to each other and GET IT FIXED! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!
That does not show compatibility with QuickBooks.
Hello there, @K West.
I want to ensure this will be taken care of so you can get back to working order.
Have you performed the steps provided above to fix the syncing issues of your Capital One Bank to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? If so, and you still encounter the same thing, I highly recommend reaching out to our Technical support team to further investigate the root cause of the problem. They can pull up your account and check the set up. They can also provide additional steps to help you fix the connection of your bank to QuickBooks.
Here's how:
In the meantime, you can manually import your bank transactions via Excel or CSV file to QBDT. Once transactions are in, you'll now have to categorize and match them.
QBDT also allows you to use bank rules to further help you manage your transactions. To get started, feel free to open this article: Use renaming rules for Bank Feeds.
I'm always around to help in case you have any other banking concerns. Simply leave a reply below and I'll get back here as soon as possible. Take care.
I have called in the past 2 months and NEITHER of them has been able to fix it. All they say is it is CapitalOne's fault. You'll have to call them. Of course, CapitalOne says they haven't changed anything and it is QB's fault. We are stuck in the middle of two hard-headed companies.
I DON'T need to import lists. I need to import credit card transactions. My CapitalOne has NOT synched from the start in January. I had to download a QB file from their website and then import it into QB. It worked in Jan & Feb and has NOT worked in Mar or Apr. I just keep getting the run around from both companies and it is FRUSTRATING! It should not take an act of Congress to import transactions into the most widely used accounting package in the US from one of the biggest banks in the US.
Yes been trying to get this resolved with no luck. What they tell you to do doesn't work.
This didn't work either
Manually importing doesnt work either
Thanks for reaching out to us again regarding this banking concern, @LStevens1.

I HAVE called in. I HAVE deleted the account and tried to add it back. I HAVE tried to import it into a different company file. And IT DOES NOT WORK. Something changed a little over a month ago that SCREWED it up royally as you can see from the other users replies. You guys blame CapitalOne and they blame you.

I am running Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022
Hello there, LStevens1. I want to ensure you'll be able to link your Capital One Account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Before proceeding to the troubleshooting steps, may I know the QuickBooks version you're using? Any additional information is a great help so I can provide a timely solution.
If you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and you can't see the Bank Feeds option, I'd recommend running the verify and rebuild utility. This determines and self-resolves the most common data issues within your company file. Let me guide you on how:
Reviewing your accounts to ensure that your real-life bank and QuickBooks balances are in sync is a breeze. This can be done by performing the reconciliation process. Once finished, you can also pull up a reconciliation report that you can save to serve as a reference to avoid reconciliation issues in the future.
Stay in touch if you have any other banking concerns. Don't hesitate to post again here. I'm just a few clicks away to help. Have a good one.
How many times are you going to post the very same thing THAT DOES NOT WORK?
Hello, K West.
I would like to step in and turn the tables around regarding the Bank Feeds issue with Capital One. I'll help in any way I can and ensure you'll be able to get your transactions in the program.
Did you receive an error message when attempting to download your transactions in the Bank Feeds? I'd appreciate if you could provide more details about this.
This way, we'll be able to lay down the necessary solutions to help you fix this.
I see that you've already called our support from your previous replies. While waiting for the error details, we can take a shot at these solutions if you haven't done them already.
We can download the Tool Hub and use the Program Problems utility to start the repair process:
We can also switch to the Classic banking mode in QuickBooks. The modes handle the connection differently, which is a good way to determine the issue. Here's how to do it:
Go to the Bank Feeds then let's download the transactions from Capital One.
Other solutions in fixing the Bank Feeds can be found here: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
Regarding the Web Connect file issue, we can also follow the steps outlined from this article: Fix Web Connect import errors.
After fixing the issue, we can take a look at this article for a guide if we're ready to reconcile your books: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'll still help you out if you have other concerns regarding your entries. If you have questions running reports or need to complete specific tasks in QuickBooks, let me know and I'll lend a hand.
I am using QB online and my CapitalOne feeds stopped working Aug 26, 2022.
Any help would be appreciated. I tried the incognito tip, no luck. I disabled feeds and re-extablished them, no luck
