Good afternoon, @rrbodden.
Glad to have you here in the Community.
We offer many different payroll reports in QuickBooks Online. The report you are looking for isn't available at this time. I'm happy to leave feedback with our product investigators on this issue.
Here's an article that includes information on all payroll reports available and a description of each: Payroll reports overview.
If we can offer any additional assistance, feel free to reach out.
Yes, please do ask for the Cost rate and Total Cost Amount to be added to the report.
Thanks.
Unfortunately no. This report/information is not available in Quickbooks at this time. I hope management looks to build this into Quickbooks online very soon. It’s disappointing that it’s not already built into the report.
I also agree to have a better display of the content of your reports, @rrbodden.
I want to let you know that your voice matters and I'm taking notes of your feedback and submitting it directly to our engineers.
We're diligently working on improving our product on the experiences shared by our customers like you, so we can offer the service and satisfaction base on your needs.

Has there been an update to this report? I'm currently working with several engineering firms and GSA contractors that need specific reports - at this time, this is the ONLY report that QBO doesn't offer that is required by ASHTO and DCAA compliant firms. Now I understand why many of these firms didn't want to transition to QBO and stick with their older accounting platforms...
Hello there, Edith DeCourcy,
This type of report is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to check out QuickBooks Desktop instead.
They offer wide-range of reports that fits your business needs. They even have QB Desktop for Contractors. You can check the subscription offers here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/desktop/enterprise/.
Check out these articles for future reference:
Let me know if you need anything else.
I, like others, need the reports to track Time Activity Costs (not billing rates). If this is available in Desktop, how does one convert from Online to Desktop? Costs? Can the data transfer from one to the other?
This is the most important employee tracking report I need.
Thanks for joining the thread, qgdb.

Hello, @qgdb.
I can share some information on how you can move your company file from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop
The price depends on the version of the QuickBooks Desktop accounting software you want to use. You can visit our website to be updated on the latest pricing and avail of any ongoing discounts. You can refer to this comparison chart: Choose your QuickBooks Desktop product.
Once you completed the one-time purchase, you'd receive an email notification containing order confirmation, license number, and product number. You can now download and install QuickBooks on your computer or laptop.
Also, you can read through these articles for the step-by-step conversion process:
Loop me in if you have other questions about managing your QuickBooks company file. I'm just a few clicks away.
Can this please be added? It should be rather straight forward as it's needed for proper project job costing. It should be very simple to add to the code. Assign an intern if needed, but this is something that is very much needed.
Hey there, FortGam.
Thanks for dropping by the Community. I can see how helpful it would be to have this feature included. So I will suggest it to our product development team. I recommend submitting feedback yourself as well. Feedback directly from QuickBooks users is the best way to get thing updated within the product. To submit your feedback, you can follow these steps:
Once submitted, you can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website. If there's anything else I can do to help, feel free to post here anytime. Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day.
Thanks Nick - I just did that as well. Appreciate it.
