I'm happy to lend a hand with changing your accountant in QuickBooks Online (QBO), jamie-tutorville.
You can add up to two accountants in QBO Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus plans. Meanwhile, three accountants can be added in Advanced plan. For more details about this, see this link: How many users can I set up?.
If you want to add a second accountant, you'll just follow the same steps as you did when adding the first one to your account. Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Select Manage users.
- Go to the Accounting firms tab.
- Click Invite.
- Enter your new accountant's name and email, then click Save.
From there, your accountant will be sent an email with a link to sign in to your QBO company. Then, your accountant will be asked to create a user ID before signing in the first time, unless they already have an account with Intuit Business Services.
However, if you want to delete the old accountant, here's what you'll need to do:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Select Manage users.
- Go to the Accounting firms tab.
- In the Action column, click the Delete link on the accountant you want to remove.
- In the confirmation window, click Delete again.
