Ok how do you do this when the phone number is not associated with you anymore and you have to have that number in order to get the verification code in order to log in?
I can share some tips on how you can update the phone number, matthewjohnwelch.
If you no longer have access to it, you can send a request to our Account Protection Team to update your phone number and recover your account. Take note that we'll be needing a clear photo or scan of your driver's license, passport, or any government-issued ID for verification purposes.
In addition, you don't have to include or show your Social Security number in any document you upload to protect your privacy. When you're ready, just go to this link to fill out the form: Recover your account when you can't sign in. Make sure to enter your updated phone number in the Phone Number field and tick the Please add my phone number to my account checkbox.
Once submitted, we'll take care of your request within one business day. You'll also receive an email from us with the next steps.

It's been a long time since I've logged into intuit. I don't recall my paperwork and my phone # has changed several times. I'm having trouble logging in.

You can select the I forgot my user ID or Password from the sign-in page if you forgot your log-in credentials. This will give you the option to change them.

I don’t use my phone number anymore tho
I do not have access to QBO. Previous bookkeeper walked out in March. Her email is no longer in use also.

Since you no longer have access to your email, you can use a phone number. Otherwise, you'll want to choose an alternative way to verify your account by following the prompts.
Once done, you can now change your email address or phone number. I'll show you how:
