How do I report a fraudulent phone call?

We keep getting phone calls from a person named Roy claiming to be from QuickBooks billing department at [removed]. In his phone call, he states that our annual service is set to renew but that in order to do so, he needs to confirm the cc ending in ****. He basically wants me to provide him the full cc details so that they can scam us. I fell for this in 2019 as we had just changed cc's and the timing of the phone call was such that it seemed legitimate that QB would need complete cc details to bill us for our annual service. However, our accountant brought it to my attention that we renew our annual service in September and the phone call was in April. Because I gave out our cc info over the phone to this individual claiming to be from QuickBooks, we were victims of the scam in the amount of $499.95, which we successfully disputed with our cc company. Because I fell for this before, I am now very aware of the phone calls. They come in as "private caller", the gentleman introduces himself as Roy (or Sam in April of 2019), he has a thick middle eastern accent, knows the name of the company owner and has been asking for us to verify a cc that we no longer have and haven't had for almost 2 years. Sometimes I play along and say that I will take a message for the owner so that I can get the call back number and extension, which is always 198. Sometimes I push back and inform "Roy" that our cc on file is up-to-date when I go into Company in QuickBooks, that he is referencing a cc that was closed 2 years ago, that our records show that our annual renewals are all up-to-date and that I believe his phone call is a scam and to please stop calling. They'll give up for a couple months and then start calling again. Can we report this to the federal government? It also might be helpful if QuickBooks were to send out a mass email to all of its users alerting them of this phone scam.

Yes, you can report this incident to your federal government so they can trace Roy.

Please know that QuickBooks will never contact you for banking information. We only initiate a call when users asked for callbacks.

How do I report a fraudulent phone call?

I received a call 1/6/22 from [phone number removed] said he was from Quickbooks Support (name Allen Carter).  He asked me to do a get update function and when nothing new downloaded said my company file was corrupted.  He then had me download Teamviewer not Glance (which I said was weird).  He then tried to get me to purchase a data service repair plan $2900.  I said I would think about it and I then got in touch with QB support and verified whole thing was a scam.  Interesting that if you call the [phone number removed] they literally answer phone saying “Quickbooks Support”.  I feel this maybe someone who works/worked for QB.  Called me initially and knew my name.

How do I report a fraudulent phone call?

I just received an automated phone call from a number originating out of Nogales, AZ. (520 area code).  It stated that there was a problem with my subscription, that my credit card was being declined, and that I needed to call an 855 number to clear it up.  I did a quick search on the number and found it was linked to several other scam complaints.  Just posting it here as an FYI.

How do I report a fraudulent phone call?

I just got a phone call from a gentleman that I couldn't understand. He did say he was with QuickBooks Support. I know support don't just call you out of the blue and tell you to get into QB for your information account information..  The phone number is 575-260-0057. He called me three times and I hung up on him three times.
