I'm having trouble syncing my Quickbooks account with Quickbooks Self-Employed and TurboTax, even though I'm using the same login information for all of the applications.

Hi there, anthemmusicenter,

Let me clarify things out for you. QuickBooks Online has a different login page. Therefore, you're unable to see your Self-Employed (QBSE) and TurboTax account even if the login credentials are the same.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you have the option to select the company you want to open when you have multiple accounts. See the attached screenshot below for your visual reference.

If you wish to move your QBSE data to QBO, you have the option to manually or automatically perform this process. Feel free to read through this article: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online for instructions and detailed steps.

Or if you need to send your QBSE tax information to TurboTax, please refer to this link: Send your info to TurboTax if your QuickBooks Self-Employed account is different from your TurboTax ...

Should you need anything else, click the Reply button below. Just mention my name, and I'll get back to you.

Hello, samwise214.

I'll make sure that you can get your transactions entered through your mobile app into your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

You can try using a different browser in accessing your QBSE account to further isolate the issue. It could be that the one you're currently working on has a temporary problem with QuickBooks Online. As of now, these are our supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  Shift
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift

However, if the issue still persists, I'd recommend getting in touch with our QBSE technical support. This way, we'll be able to pull up your account in a safe environment and then run a series of tests to rectify the issue. Here's how to connect with us:

  1. Enter or say “Talk to a human.”
  2. Choose a way to connect with us:
  • Post a question and get answers from tax specialists and other customers like you.
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert
