Hello there, nroulin.
Thanks for turning to the Community about your concern in converting your online data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enterprise. I’m here to help make sure you can perform this process easily.
When moving from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QBDT, you’ll have to export your online data. Then move it to the desktop program.
Before proceeding, download the migration tool to move your data to the other program smoothly. Here’s how:
After running the tool, we'll have to prepare the file you’re moving to QBDT. For detailed instructions, you can read the following article: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop. From there, perform Steps 3-6 to complete the conversion process.
You can browse to this reference to learn more on what will happen to your QBO data when transferred over to the desktop program: Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
Additionally, this link will guide you on how to move your customers, vendors, products, and services, and accounts from QuickBooks Online to QuickBo... The article contains some links on how to transfer each list.
If you have any follow-up questions or require further clarifications about the conversion process, leave a comment below. I’m always ready to answer them for you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
Do you need to migrate data from QBO US version to QBD US Enterprise? Follow the instruction mentioned by Rasa-LilaM. Otherwise, you can buy a 3rd party conversion service.
One can not use the migration tool in the Rightnet works environment so this doesn't work?
Please advise, this doesn't work in the RDP environment hosted by RightNetworks. The environment doesn't allow for executable programs. Therefore what to do now?
Install the trial version for QBD 2022 on your local machine to convert data from QBO. Otherwise, purchase a 3rd party service to get the QBW file and upload (or ask RN to upload) it on QBD.
