We can save online backups of our data when we're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced. To do this, we'll have to turn this on, so our data is backed up automatically every 5 - 10 minutes.
If we're using the regular QBO version, isn't possible. Though, we can use it to export the company lists only. You can check this article for more information: Export lists from the old company file into a new data file.
Also, if we want to cancel, QuickBooks Online will keep your data for a year and will still allow you read-only access to be able to print forms and reports we might need in the future.
