After the required converting from Intuit online payroll to Quickbooks online payroll my Quick books desktop program will not display data from iif file. If I try to open the file again it states it has already been open and will duplicate the payroll
Let me help you open this IIF file without getting duplicates, @njeter63.
You may have already imported the IIF file into your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) program. When your payroll data is imported, QuickBooks will create one paycheck per transaction in your account register.
I'd suggest running the Transactions by Account report to review your payroll transactions. This way, you can verify whether you've imported the IIF file yet.
If it's not been imported yet, you can follow the instructions below on how to import IIFs. Make sure to back up your company file before you import IIF files. If you ever run into problems, you can use your backup to restore your data.

Hi @njeter63 ,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about opening an IIF file. Was it successful? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I am having the same issue. I am unable to import the IIF file. The software goes through the required backup of company data, then fails to import the IIF file. I have tried multiple times, made sure I was in single user mode, etc.
I attempted to get support through the chat, but that was fruitless. Each support rep passed me onto another support rep, who each time failed to answer beyond the "how can I help you" screen. When I finally managed to get live support person on the phone, the rep confirmed "importing IIF file into QB for Mac" is a known issue.
I am extremely unhappy that QB would force us into QB online Payroll without working out the bugs. I am left with having to manually enter the Payroll data for each employee. I am exploring other options for Payroll at this time.
