I was told by support that my data file is 41% corrupt and my account is on hold due to this. They gave me the option to purchase 3 year plan and payroll for $2300 and I couldn’t afford that right now. I instead purchased QB desktop pro plus payroll for $400 and intend to start a new company and basically start fresh. Support told me that I couldn’t do this and use the same company information such as address, phone number, tax id etc. Can someone please help with this. I realize that by starting a new company I’d lose my last 7 years worth of data but I need to do payroll this week and start entering sales etc.. Or is there a way to transfer all of my old data into the new QB?

Just to clarify, who is this Support? How did you contact them?
What kind of 3 years plan did they offer? A support plan?
Have you tried to self run the Verify/Rebuild Data utility and QuickBooks Tool Hub?
It was Intuit support. I’m attaching a pic from my computer (he typed this in my notepad when he had control of my pc during the share) with the number, persons name, extension and my case number. Yes we did the rebuild/verify. Doesn’t show any issues but I’m getting error messages when trying to run payroll. He told me that my file is corrupt and my account is locked because of this. My file is 7 years old and don’t want to lose all of that data.
It was a scam. Intuit Support won't share any toll free number. You should contact Support and ask Data Service to check your file. Otherwise, you may contact us in private to evaluate the file. If we are able to repair it, you can purchase our 3rd party service later.
