You can access QBO on browsers on any computer. Did you encounter any problem?
Thank you for reaching out to us, anthonyglandt197.
You can use the desktop app feature of QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced instead of using QuickBooks in a web browser if you have QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced. The following are the advantages:
Here's an article you can refer to for more details about downloading and using the QuickBooks Online Advanced desktop app. You can also use the solution recommended by Fiat Lux - ASIA. If you're experiencing speed issues with QuickBooks Online, there are a few things you can try to make sure you're getting the most out of your user experience. To troubleshoot the problem, simply follow the steps and details in this article: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?.
Also, to further guide you in managing your account and the growth of your business using QBO, I'd recommend checking out one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.
I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with accessing your QBO account. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Have a great day ahead.
I have installed the app and am trying to make it work with multiple companies. We have 3 related companies. The main one is an online advanced subscription account; the other two are online plus accounts, if that matters. I am able to log onto either the main one or one of the others I have set up without difficulty. But when I try to switch between companies the "You're viewing" dropdown only shows the one I logged into at the start. When I sign out and am presented with the sign in screen that looks like the online sign in screen on the left side, and change companies I get a "select the company you want to log into" with two boxes with blurred out text, which I assume should be the two companies I want to work with. From there the login goes to the one I logged into using the online format screen login without ever offering me the option to select a company.
Why am I not being presented with the option to choose companies when I try to log in and why am I not offered the option to change companies in the "You're viewing" dropdown? Do all the subscriptions need to be for advanced? And if that is so, why is it working with a subscription that isn't advanced? And yes, by the way, my computer is new and meets all the system requirements.
i should add that although I am a ProAdvisor, I am not working with these companies through Online Accountant, nor do I intend to. Again, if that matters.
Thanks for chiming in on this thread, Mark.
Let me point you in the right direction so you can switch between companies seamlessly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Since I wasn't able to reproduce the issue when I replicated it on my end, I'd recommend reaching out to our customer support team. This way, they can determine the cause of the issue through screen-sharing and provide you with a fix. They may also raise an investigation if necessary.
To do that:
Additionally, you can transfer your lists (vendors, customers, inventory, and chart of accounts) to your other company file rather than starting from scratch. This way, you won't have to set up each item from your lists individually.
Let me know if you have additional questions about switching company files in QBO. We're always around to assist you anytime. Keep safe!
I just spent 45 minutes waiting for a chat and another 20 minutes back and forth in a chat regarding this issue when I somehow got disconnected from the chat. I got as far as this problem having something to do with having different email addresses associated with the different accounts I want to integrate with the app. I can't be sure because I was disconnected just at the point where I wanted to ask the chat person for clarification.
If the problem is in fact to do with mismatched logins, can you please pass along to the app maintainers the importance of pointing this out to users so they don't have to spend hours trying to figure it out.
