Why can't I set up a payment link for a travel business?

I have a travel business, but when I try to set up my payment link for customers (link to my business bank account) it doesn't let me. I get a message stating it may because of the product or service. It's travel.

Why can't I set up a payment link for a travel business?

You need to open a QB Payment account or a 3rd party merchant service account to accept payments on your invoices.

Why can't I set up a payment link for a travel business?

Hello there, mskimiko-att-net.

This isn’t the kind of experience I want for you when setting up a payment for your travel business. In addition to @Fiat Lux - ASIA answer, let me share some of the reasons why you’re unable to turn on the feature.

  • The type of products or services you sell.
  • Industries that are categorized as high-risk merchants (Example: Firearm sellers, vape and e-cigarette merchants, alcohol, and cigars).
  • Credit history

In situations like this, I still suggest contacting our Payments Support Team for further assistance. They can provide a detailed list of unacceptable business types. Then guide you on how to get the payment link to work.

For additional resources, the links contain answers to frequently asked questions about the Payments feature, including the terms and conditions. You’ll also learn about the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) of the product.

Drop a comment below if you have additional questions or concerns in setting up the payment link. I’ll be more than happy to answer them for you. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
