Why does I didn't receive the invitation as an accountant online user?

Hi there, Let me share some information about why you didn't receive the invitation.

 

If you invite an accounting advisor to become a registered user, they will have direct access to all your business information via the Internet. This enables them to work with you on your books without the need for file transfer. You can continue entering invoices, payments, and other details as usual. Advisors can also set up bank feeds for your file.

 

However, some invited users may not receive email invitations due to various reasons such as:

 

  • The invitation might be in their junk or spam folder.
  • The company’s email address is incorrectly formatted in the Company tab under Account and settings.
  • The recipient’s mail servers might be blocking the email.
  • The invitation may have already expired. Email invites expire 48 hours after they are sent.

 

So as an accountant online user and if you have a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm, make sure your client sent the invite to the correct email address. It should be the one tied to the user ID you use to sign in. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open the invite email.
  2. Select Accept Invitation.
  3. Sign in with your existing user ID and password.

 

If you still can't connect, there may be a web browser issue. Open the invite manually:

 

  1. Open the invite email.
  2. Right-click the Accept Invitation link and copy the web address.
  3. Open a new private web browser. In Google Chrome, this is called an Incognito window. For other browsers, it's a Private window or Private browser.
  4. Right-click the address bar and paste the copied web address.

Being able to receive an invitation from your admin or client is important, SBH14.

 

Before proceeding, I'd like to ask if your client or admin has encountered any issues when sending an invitation. Doing so will allow us to explain further why this is happening on your end and may offer the best solution according to your concern.

 

If they confirmed that the invitation was sent to the correct email address without encountering any problem, it's best to contact our QuickBooks Online support. Doing so will allow them to investigate this matter and explain why this is happening on your end.

 

Kindly follow these steps:

 

  1. In your QBO account, select Help (?).
  2. Choose the Search tab.
  3. At the bottom of your screen, click Contact Us.  
  4. Type your concern. Then click Continue.
  5. You may choose Callback, Appointment, or Chat to connect with us.
  6. Kindly fill out your First name, Last name, Email address, and Phone number fields.
  7. Depending on what you choose as your way to connect with us, click Callback, Schedule an appointment, or Chat.
