Should it takes almost 2 minutes to log in to QBO?

To log in to QBO I just entered my email entered my password Solved a captcha Opened an email and type in the Verification Code Selected my email address from a list of two email addresses, one of which I've only ever seen in QBO Re-enter my password Enter the 6 digit code from the MFA test message and finally get into the application. I appreciate security but have I done something wrong or is there a way to streamline the login?

Should it takes almost 2 minutes to log in to QBO?

Hi there, @rpspiker. I'm here to ensure you'll run your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account seamlessly.

QBO is a web-based service that relies on the processing power of your computer or device, the amount of energy available, and the bandwidth of your internet connection. To ensure that it runs smoothly, let’s make sure your operating system is up to date and it meets the minimum requirements needed.

It's also recommended to use Chrome to optimize your QBO experience. If you're already using this, you also need to ensure that you have the latest release.

If verified that your operating system is updated to the latest release and you meet the system requirements needed but still experiencing slow performance for QBO, let's also check your internet speed. To confirm your bandwidth, you can run a Google Speed Test. Then, check out this link, to help you interpret the results: Test your internet speed.

For more details about fixing QBO performance issues, you can read this article: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?.

In case you need guides, articles, and links in performing QuickBooks tasks, feel free to visit our QuickBooks Help page. This consists of different categories that you can browse depending on your concern. Once you find one, you can bookmark them in your browser for easy access and use them as your future reference.

I'm always around to help you if you have any other concerns about running your QBO account. I got your back. Have a good one.

Solved a captcha, 4) wait for an email to arrive and open the email and type in the Verification Code,

5) Selected my email address from a list of two email addresses, one of which is not mine, (and QBO knows my email because I've already entered it and they just send a Verification code to it.

6) Re-enter my password,

Safeguarding your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account is our main priority, @rpspiker.

QuickBooks provides these security tools and systems to protect your account and important information. You can turn off the two-step verification so you can sign in to your account using only your password.

If you’re still using the same phone number, you can follow the steps below to disable the two-step verification:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Click your Profile, then select Manage your Intuit Account.
    Capture.PNG
  3. From the left menu, click Sign In & Security.
    Capture.PNG
  4. In the Two-step verification section, select Turn off.
  5. Enter the code, then select Continue.

Otherwise, you’ll need to update your phone number first before turning the feature off. Here’s how:

  1. Complete the Email Change Request form. Make sure to enter your new phone number in the Recovery Number field.
  2. Attach a copy of any of your photo ID forms. Select Browse > Find and select the file > Click Open.
  3. After the file is uploaded, press Submit.
  4. Once you receive a notification that your phone number is updated, sign in to your QBO account.
  5. Click your Profile, then select Manage your Intuit Account.
  6. From the left menu, select Sign In & Security.
  7. In the Two-step verification section, click Turn off.
  8. Enter the code, then select Continue.

In case you want to change your user ID and contact information in the future, check out this guide for complete instructions: Update your user ID, phone number, and contact information for Intuit

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns with managing your account. I’ll be here to help. Take care always!
