All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

Hello there, @andy-jt53-gmail-

I'm glad to see you here posting and welcome to QuickBooks Community. I'll provide steps to ensure that you're properly reconciling and to make sure that your account stays accurate.

You'll make sure you choose the correct bank account when recording a deposit in QuickBooks. Also, the Incorrect Statement date is one of the reasons why the transactions won't reflect when reconciling it or when the transaction is marked as reconciled on the register. You can try to delete the payment and record the bank, then deposit it again.

I’ve also added this article that you can use for future guidance in effectively reconciling your accounts in QBDT: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can refer to this article to see information on how to fix the issue once your accounts in QuickBooks Desktop don't match your bank statements at the end of reconciliation:  Fix issues when you're reconciling in QuickBooks Desktop

Lastly, here's an article you can read to learn more about reconciliation: Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks for Mac.

Let me know in the comment section below if you still have a concern about reconciliation. I'll be waiting for your response and will be always happy to lend a helping hand. Tale care!

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

Hello and thank you for your reply,  I have been using quick books for decades.   I know how the reconciliation  is supposed to work.  I know how to reconcile as I do it for 6 accounts 4 for my business and tow personal.   The problem is not on any of your articles.    I started to reconcile and soon realized that  about 7-10 entries on my register, were on the bank statement as well as cleared, but not on the reconciliation screen!  The dates of the transaction  were all within the date range of the reconciliation,  but  did not show up on the reconciliation screen.    I purchased support help and the tech had no idea what the problem was even after me explaining it multiple times.  The only way to view this happening would be next time I reconcile in a month  I will then contact support and have then view my computer to see that your program has a BUG! and I have to pay your to fix your program's BUG.  Talk to one of your techs in a month! Cheers Andrew in VT

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

I came across this issue today. Specifically, a CC Bill Payment that is in the register doesn't show in the reconciliation window (it is well within the date range, transactions before and after show up in the reconciliation window, just no the CC Bill Payment).

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

I am having the same issue. Trying to reconcile as 6/30/22, I have uncleared transactions showing up in the register/transaction report dated 6/30/22 and prior, yet they are not showing up on the reconciliation as available to clear.

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

You can uncheck the Hide transactions after the statement’s end date box to get your unclear transactions to show up, @SummerSearsCPA.

To do that, please follow the outlined steps below:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, then select Reconcile.
  2. Select the bank or credit card account you want to reconcile.
  3. The Statement Date is automatically filled in. Make sure it’s correct. Only transactions up to and including this date are available to reconcile.
  4. Enter the balances.
  5. Review the fields.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Uncheck the Hide transactions after the statement’s end date box at the top, then start reconciling.

You can count on me if you have any other questions or concerns about working on your company’s records. Just let me know by adding a comment below. I’ll do my best to get back with a resolution. Keep safe always!

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

I appreciate you for considering this thread to share your concern about the missing transactions when reconciling in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to help you with that, 84-3376304.

If you're using the bank feed feature, check if the transactions are being imported correctly from your bank. Sometimes, there can be delays in the bank feed that cause transactions to not show up during reconciliation.

In the meantime, you can follow these steps to isolate this issue. It might be a browser-related problem or  need to refresh the page. Here's how:

  1. Access your QBO account in an incognito or private browsing window to make sure that cached data isn't causing the issue.
Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
    Safari: press Command Shift N
  2. Use other supported and up-to-date web browsers.

You can make use of these articles in QBO for additional tips and guides.

Additionally, could you provide the name of your bank? This will allow us to investigate the issue further. Let me know if you have more questions about reconciliation. I'm always ready to help you.

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

Welcome to the Community, rharvey. Let me help you display your transaction during reconciliation.

First off, we need to check if the transactions are categorized.

Here's how:

  1. In the left panel, click Transactions, then Bank Transaction
  2. Select the tile for the account you want to review.
  3. Click the For Review tab to categorize them.

After that, we can also check in the Chart of Accounts if the missing transactions are manually reconciled, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the View register link of the bank account.
  3. Select the funnel icon and filter it by Reconcile StatusTransaction TypePayee, and Date.
  4. Hit Apply.
  5. Find the transaction and check if you see the letter R under the Reconcile Status (indicated by a checkmark) column. This means Reconciled
  6. Edit the transaction if necessary and click Save.

All transactions not showing during reconciliation!

Thank you for turning to the Community regarding your reconciliation concern, Sweetchickie.

I understand the inconvenience caused by this issue, which prevents you from reconciling your account. Let's work together to troubleshoot and resolve this, ensuring you can continue balancing your account seamlessly.

Before we start, can you specify whether you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop for Mac? This is to check if there's an existing investigation regarding any missing transactions during the reconciliation process.

While we wait for the information, let me guide you on how to handle this in each QuickBooks platform. In the online version, we need to filter the data on the Reconcile page to see it correctly.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QBO company, navigate to the Transactions menu on the left panel, and choose Reconcile
  2. Click the Account drop-down and choose the correct bank or credit card account.
  3. Check the beginning balance and make sure the information in QuickBooks matches with the one in your statement.
  4. Type the ending balance and ending date on your statement.
  5. Review the last statement ending date (end date of your last reconciliation).
  6. Click the Start reconciling or Resume reconciling button when you're ready.
  7. On the Reconcile page, press the Funnel icon to set the correct information in the following fields: Find, Cleared statusTransaction typePayee, and Date.
  8. Tap the Apply for the changes to take effect.

After setting up everything, let's proceed with reconciling the account. Should you encounter any hurdles or notice any discrepancies in your account, I have resources available to guide you on how to handle the situation. Simply open each link to know the full details:

For QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac users, let's uncheck the Hide transactions after statement end date box to show all transactions. Before troubleshooting, create a backup copy of the company file to prevent accidental loss. When you're ready, follow these steps to carry out this task:

  1. In your company file, go to the Banking menu at the top bar and choose Reconcile.
  2. The Begin Reconcile window appears.
  3. In the Account to Reconcile field, choose the account you're working on.
  4. Enter the statement date from your account statement in the Statement Date field and type the ending balance on your account statement into the Ending Balance field.
  5.  Type the amount of that fee into the Service Charge Amount field and input the date your bank charged you the fee.
  6. Click OK
  7. On the Reconcile page, go to the bottom part and untick the Hide transactions after statement end date box.

For more in-depth information, take a look at this article: Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks for Mac. It includes instructions on how to deal with any discrepancy issues.

Moreover, you can download this link to gain access to our online resources: User's Guide. It covers topics about taxes, inventory, cash flow management, and banking-related activities such as reconciling your account, writing checks, and making deposits to name a few.
