Beginning 6-13 every purchase I made using my debit card were paid AND show as a pending transaction also. I now have over $2000 in pending transactions even though they also show as paid in the ledger. So my account balance is actually off by more than $2000 and I have over 30 pending transactions.
I thought I replied but I don’t see it so, I apologize if I replied twice.
Befinning the 13th of June every purchase I have made using my debit card is showing in my account as paid AS WELL AS PENDING. So a $20 dollar purchase debits my account $40. ($20 for it being paid and $20 for the pending charge). I have 30-40 of these transactions totaling over $2000. Now my actual account balance is off by over $2000. And this has been for over 14 days.
I'm here to share some information about the pending status of your debit card transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), chashundley.
Your checking transactions have the Pending status because your bank has not yet declared them as cleared in QBO. It also takes 1-5 business days for the funds to arrive in your bank account. In addition, there are several factors that influence funding time. Such as the time of day you enter transactions or the length of time it takes your chosen financial institution to verify and process electronic transactions.
Once the transaction has cleared your bank account, you now need to match and categorize them in QBO. If the status doesn't change after the given time frame, I'd suggest reaching out to our Payments support team to further check the transactions. They can pull up your account in a secure place and verify the reason why they still show as pending.
I'll include this helpful resource that you can use as a guide in making sure the balance of your QBO account matches your real-life bank statement: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
If you have other concerns about your checking transactions, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one, and stay safe.
I completely understand how pending transactions work. I believe what your missing is that the transactions are showing as PAID and PENDING at the same time. My only linked account is QuickBooks checking (Meta Bank). Also above my now 50 or so pending transactions list is a notice stating “!Something isn’t working. There seems to be an issue. Please try again later. “. We’ll later is now 15 days later and I have over $2000 tied up in already paid pending transactions.
