can cash sales in Shopify be automatically recorded as a deposit in bank account like credit card sales are when the app transaction is added?

Cash sales in Shopify are not showing up in our bank account when we add the App Transaction in Quickbooks online. When we add the credit card payout from shopify in the app transactions it will deposit it into our bank account.

Hi there, @Retailer.

Cash sales in Shopify do not automatically record as deposits in your bank account, unlike credit card sales in QuickBooks Online (QBO). When linking your Shopify through App transactions, sales transactions are posted there for confirmation before being added to your QBO records. This way, you can match them to the transactions from your bank account.

Since you're not seeing your cash sales, let's ensure you have mapped them correctly to the account where you want these entries to be posted. For steps, it's best to contact Shopify support for thorough guidance.

Additionally, you can categorize them from your banking page and reconcile them afterward to ensure the accuracy of your records and avoid discrepancies.
