Can I switch my quickbooks online account to a quickbooks solopreneur account?

QBSP is a stand alone product. As I know you can't migrate data from QBO/QBD to QBSP. You can convert data to QBD and use the trial version to access your historical data for good. Then you will start from scratch in QBSP.

I agree with 4Gal. The option to switch from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Solopreneur is unavailable. This is because they're different programs that are designed for different types of businesses. Also, there are features in QBO that don't apply to QuickBooks Solopreneur. 

QuickBooks Solopreneur is designed for one-person businesses that may or may not use 1099 contractors. On the other hand, QBO is for small business owners. This has accounting and bookkeeping features to help you in managing your business.

Additionally, if you are looking to switch from QBO to QuickBooks Solopreneur, you'll need to cancel your current subscription. Then, sign up for QuickBooks Solopreneur and manually import your data.

Switching from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Solopreneur is a great functionality, Kyle. 

While this feature is unavailable in QuickBooks, I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QBO.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
3. Once done, click on Next.

Can you clarify how I can keep my data if I switch from QBO to Solopreneur?  Our business has changed and I don't need the QBO features anymore, but I don't want to lose all of my data

Switching from QBO to QuickBooks Solopreneur isn't available. It's important to note that these are distinct programs designed for different business needs, which means that certain features available in QBO may not be present in QuickBooks Solopreneur.

In line with this, you'll need to export your data from QuickBooks Online and manually import it into the QuickBooks Solopreneur software. For any data that cannot be transferred to Solopreneur, save it locally first. This will ensure easy access to it for future reference and sharing.

I'll guide you on how you can export your data:

1. Go to Settings, and in the TOOLS column, hit Export data.
2. Choose It's a backup for the reason for exporting, then select Continue.
   
   
3. Set the date from the Pre-selected date ranges dropdown menu.
4. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by turning the switch on or off.
5. Click Export to Excel, then OK.

Moreover, you'll need to cancel your current QBO subscription. Then, sign up for QuickBooks Solopreneur and manually import your data.
