Welcome to the Community, @connie11.

A few possible reasons why you're getting this error when downloading bank activity are:

  • A problem at your bank.
  • Internet connection issue.
  • A problem with one or more accounts in your company file.
  • Incorrect download or import format.
  • A discontinued version of Windows or QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

To isolate this, let's perform the following steps that can help fix this. Let's start by enabling TLS 1.2 Security Protocol if available. Here's how:

  1. Open Internet Explorer 11 and make sure you have the latest version installed.
  2. Go to the Gear icon on the upper right section of IE to get to the Internet Options17.PNG
  3. Choose Advanced tab, then scroll down to the Security section.
  4. Uncheck the USE TLS 1.0 and place a checkmark on USE TLS 1.2.
  5. Click Apply, then choose OK18.PNG
  6. Close all open programs, then restart the computer.

Once done, open QBDT and try to download the bank activity again to double-check. If the same thing happens, consider checking out this article and proceed to steps 2 to 9 for more troubleshooting steps: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
