I can see that I am missing transactions in desktop. I created a QBO file from the AMEX website. When I try to import that file into desktop (file->Utilities->Import->Web Connect Files, I get the message that there are no new transactions. I can see the transactions. Is the best course of action to kill all links between desktop and AMEX? (This is what I'm going to try)
Can you download the file in *.csv from AMEX?
You can use the trial version of the csv2qbo converter tool to get the *.qbo file and try importing it into your QBD to isolate the problem.

We are delighted to guide you through the process of resolving the error you are experiencing when importing QBO files into your QuickBooks Desktop. Please follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Download the Web Connect file
Step 2: Review notifications from your bank

Step 4: Create a test file
If you are able to import the file and see your transactions, there may be a settings issue. In that case, please revert to your original company file and reset the settings. Yes, it is likely that if you delete the bank feeds setup from the Amex account, by editing the account from your chart of accounts, that QuickBooks will then import all of the transactions that are in the *.QBO file.
I'm having this exact same issue. Did you ever find a way to resolve it?
Do you have QBD 2021 or else?
I have Premier Plus 2023. Importing credit card transactions has always worked for me in the past. Its my Capital One credit card transactions that aren't working.
When I go to import the file that I downloaded from Capital One it says there are no transactions even though I know there are a ton of them.
