Hello, I added a new bank account to my account and now all of my January 2020 etsy transactions are showing doubled. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

The bank account I added was a brand new bank account with no transactions. The only other account I had connected was my Etsy account which has been fine for the past 3 years I've been using Quickbooks. Now when I add the new bank account only the January 2020 transactions are doubled (Not the February 2020 or 2019 transactions).
Only the income transactions that sync from Etsy are doubled.

This issue is already reported to our engineers, Hello79.

While we're waiting for a fix, you'll have to delete the duplicate transactions manually as a workaround. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transaction page.
  2. Select the transaction.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.

I'll add the reference on how to exclude or delete transactions

I also suggest reaching out to our customer care support. We're taking notes of the users who are affected by the issue. Here's how:

  1. Click Assistant.
  2. Enter "Talk to a human" in the description field.
  3. Click Talk to a human.
  4. Select either Message an agent or Get a callback

You can post anytime in the Community if you have other concerns. We're here to help you.

Hello, I added a new bank account to my account and now all of my January 2020 etsy transactions are showing doubled. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

The issue is that it's an entire months worth of transactions so it's not feasible to sit and mark each one as duplicate.

This issue with that is that it is a months worth of transactions so it's not feasible to mark each transaction as duplicate.

I appreciate you getting back to us, @hello79.

While our engineers are working for a fix, you can consider deleting all duplicate transactions instead of marking them as duplicate. Rest assured that they're diligently working on this issue.

To ensure you'll get an update about the resolution status, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have to collect personal data to add your company to the list of affected users and provide this investigation number for easy tracking: INV-41299.

For your future reference, you might want to check out this article to learn how to categorize transactions in QBSE: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Thank you for your patience while we're working on this. Please know that you can always get back to this post if you have any other questions.

Hello, I added a new bank account to my account and now all of my January 2020 etsy transactions are showing doubled. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

Hopefully the fix is quick, there are approximately 400 duplicate transactions so I don't have the time (nor do I want to) sit and delete or mark as duplicate. Each duplicate transaction is the exact same as the other so there is no way to filter them out.
