How come you can't tag transactions that are split?

I can see the importance of having the ability to add tags to split transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Beloved Lemur.

While this option isn't available yet, I suggest sending feedback to our product developers team. They will carefully review and identify areas that require enhancements, and consider incorporating them into future updates. Your input plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our product. Follow the steps below:

Hit the Gear icon at the top, then select Feedback.
Type in your product suggestions.
Click Next to submit feedback.

Dear QuickBooks Community/Support Team,

As we're now in April 2024, I was wondering if there have been any updates or developments on this feature.

For context, our organization frequently receives payouts from Stripe that contain a mixture of revenue types — some of which are related to specific events like a conference, and others are general donations not related to the event. The ability to tag each component of these split transactions individually in QuickBooks Online would be immensely helpful for accurate tracking and reporting.

I appreciate any update you can provide on this matter or any workarounds that may be currently available. Your support is crucial to us in optimizing our use of QuickBooks Online.

Please know that our team is constantly considering suggestions while making product updates. That said, we're unable to provide a specific time frame on when this feature will be implemented. If you haven't done yet, you can send this feedback to our Product Development Team.

Here's how:

Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
Enter your feedback Suggestion.
Press Next.

Alternatively, you might want to utilize the class tracking feature in QBO Plus and Advanced versions so you'll be able to organize transactions based on different classes. You can check out this article for more details: Turn on class tracking in QuickBooks Online.
