How Do I Unsync Home Depot Credit Card

Does anyone know how I can unsync my Home Depot credit card from my quickbooks online account?  I no longer want them to sync, but Home Depot is not listed under my Banking tab.  When I try to delete it from my chart of accounts It says I'm not allowed to make it inactive because another organization is using it.

How Do I Unsync Home Depot Credit Card

Let me guide you on you can unlink your credit card from QuickBooks Online, leslietaylor.

You can simply disconnect the account if you don't want to get new transactions from your bank. But, if you don't need the data, you can also delete the account permanently. To disconnect the account, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Banking menu. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Select the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Select the Disconnect this account on the save checkbox.
  5. Select Save and Close.

To give you an overview of disconnecting and deleting accounts, check out this article for more information: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking. In addition to this, you can run reports for specific accounts in your Chart of Accounts. Learn how to do it from this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you need anything else or have any concerns related to banking. Let me know so I can get back to you as soon as possible.

How Do I Unsync Home Depot Credit Card

My Home Depot card does not appear as a bank in my banking session.  It only appears in Chart of Accounts and QB wont' allow me to delete it from Charts of Accounts because it says an institution is using it.

I understand where you're coming from, @Barney4.

I can guide you in disconnecting your bank inside QuickBooks Online. Before doing so, make sure that there are no pending transactions on the card.

However, if you want to replace the lost credit card, I recommend you get in touch with Home Depot. This way, they'll know what happened and they can cancel and replace the card.

To disconnect the account, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Banking menu. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Hit the pencil ✎ icon.
  4. Select Edit account info.
  5. Select the Disconnect this account on the save checkbox.
  6. Hit Save and Close.

I'm also adding this article for more information: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking.

Just reply to the thread if you have further questions. Have a good one!

How Do I Unsync Home Depot Credit Card

Hey there, leslietaylor.

If you're added as a user in the QuickBooks Online account, the access and options may vary from one user at a company to another.

The system determines what information it displays by each user’s access rights. You can reach out to the owner of the account or the Master Admin and ask to update your access rights.

Here’s what the Master Admin needs to do:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  2. Highlight the user's name, click Edit.
  3. Under Edit user settings, go to User type.
  4. Make sure to select the correct option to access banking.
  5. Hit Save.

Otherwise, have the Master Admin perform the credit card disconnection process by following the steps above.

Additionally, you can always go through this article: Banking Help Articles. This will provide you links on how to manage your accounts in QuickBooks Online as well as steps to reconcile them.

You can reach out to QuickBooks Community again if you need additional assistance. Simply click reply and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good one.
