This is not my product and was just sharing an option for consideration. If you are not interested in using it, you can use other options. You can purchase QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus to keep using the bank feed feature and you can get $100 cashback.
Can you tell me if you found a comparable accounting software that won’t rip us off every 2 years then force us to a subscription?
Please share the 3rd party app? I’m using desktop 2021 pro

Another option, you can use the trial version of QBD 2022 Enterprise to run the bank feed again.
How can I Find that trial version of desktop 2022? I can use the trial to do bank feeds?
The bank feed feature works in the QBD 2022 trial version. Contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA to get the the trial version.
But this is: 1) free and 2) permanent wo hassle

Are you lying? QB support just told me that bank feeds don’t work with a trial version AND the trial only lasts 30 days. I wish I could get straight answers here!
You can use the trial version for good. Contact Fiat Lux and install the trial version to be sure.
I understand the importance of having clear and consistent information, Cidbrown. Let me clarify some details about connecting your bank to Bank Feeds in a QuickBooks Desktop trial version.
In the trial version of QuickBooks Desktop, users can utilize bank feeds to download transactions into the company file. They may choose to use the Direct Connect method or the Web Connect one, depending on which service is supported by their financial institution. Check out the steps to start using bank feeds in this article: Set up or edit bank accounts for Bank Feeds.
Additionally, please note that the free trial version only lasts for 30 days. After the trial period, you'll need to purchase the software to continue using it. If you're interested in downloading a trial version of QuickBooks Desktop, the steps to download the 2024 version are available in this article: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.

Even if I can use it “for good” I am now told by 2 different quickbooks support people that the trial will not allow bank feeds. Who is this Fiat Lux? A person? A company? Are they doing something illegal with quickbooks?
I recognize the importance of downloading your transactions in the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) trial, Cidbrown. I'm here to provide further clarification about this one.
When using the trial version of QuickBooks Desktop, you can download your transactions using the Web Connect feature. Allow me to guide you on how to do it.
Here's how if you're using the QBDT:
If you're using outside QBDT, you can check this guide here on how to do it: Download bank feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please know that my colleague will be updating their answer about this one. Also, Fiat Lux is one of our resellers for our product.

I self-educated on IIFs back in 2017 to migrate from excel to QB. They're incredibly flexible and dumb---making them dangerous. Some of the things that can go wrong: any typos will create spurious accounts, vendors, etc.
This guy's freeware has a feature to load a CSV file of existing transactions against which the new ones are screened for duplicates. It works but there are extra steps.
You and me both. He wrote in Python and I'm very tempted in collaborating with him to make this software better and free for others in the same boat as us.
His software does work with account numbers. In other words, in the pattern editor (rules), you can enter 1234 if that's the account number for Meals and Entertainment.
Strongly advise you to watch his YT tutorial.
By “this guy” you mean Fiat Lux?
I looked into Transaction Pro but it dumps bank transactions directly into the check register instead of into the bank feeds transaction file. This means all waiting must be done perfectly before import and with no help from quickbooks. If it went into the bank feeds file, we would have the opportunity to edit and check each transaction before sending to the register. Why don’t they do that???
That’s “all editing” must be done before import
No, I’m referring to Adam. He wrote a freeware to emulate the Bank Feed workflow. See link to it in my previous posts. Basically, it reads QBO files, applies rules (you create your rules) and makes an IIF file for import
I am now told by 2 different quickbooks support people that the trial will not allow bank feeds.
I am using the trial version and it still works.
Who is this Fiat Lux? A person? A company?

100%.
Forcing you to move to a subscription based service that provides ZERO benefits to many small businesses should be illegal. I was fine with quickbooks 2007. I am a simple small business but because of an issue I upgraded to 2021, which worked fine but since it was the last "Desktop" version offered they have been trying to force me to use their BS subscription based service. Now since the update, which I had no choice in the matter because I could not access quickbooks at all without doing it, I can't import my credit card .QBO file and will be forced to input thousands of entries by hand. Talk about a scumbag move. I hate Quickbooks. They are always pulling some crap like this and they don't even support my local credit union so I can't even use Bank Feeds for that institution and need to enter them by hand. TOTAL BS
You can use TP Importer as a workaround. It's a $199 one time license and you can get $100 cashback to purchase the license via a partner.

If you prefer to keep using the bank feed feature, use the trial version of QB Desktop 2022 as a workaround.
