How to transfer money from Quickbooks Go bank to my own bank account

Hi, thanks for your response.  When I go to transfer and "transfer funds from" the quickbooks bank is not an option.  The funds were originally in some account called quickbooks envelopes and I transferred them to our operating account.  Our balance sheet in quickbooks is accurate.  However, the money was never deposited to our operating bank account.

How to transfer money from Quickbooks Go bank to my own bank account

Hi there, @kco1006.

The transfer will take a little longer when you transfer the funds directly from QuickBooks Envelopes to the operating account.

For more details about QuickBooks cash flows, you can check this article: Create envelopes to set your funds aside. From there, you can follow the steps written in the "Take money out of an envelope" section when you transfer funds from QuickBooks again.

For faster transfer, you can follow these steps next time: Take money out from QuickBooks Envelope> take money out Cash AccountBank Account.

Also, make sure to categorize periodically your transactions in the Banking menu.

Please let me know if you have additional questions. Anytime I can help. Take care, and more power to your business!

I just did this - transferred money from QB cash to our bank account - hit save and close - but see no record for the transfer. How long does it take to show up in the bank account?

Thank you for joining the thread, @grayson1979.

I'm glad to know that you're now able to successfully transfer the amount from QuickBooks Cash to your bank account. I'm here to share with you some insights about the funding time of the process.

On average, it takes between 2 to 5 business days to move money out of your QuickBooks Cash account. The speed depends on how fast your external bank processes the transfer.

How to transfer money from Quickbooks Go bank to my own bank account

I am trying to transfer our QuickBooks Cash funds to our external bank account.  A few days after adding our bank details (bank name, routing and account numbers) I saw the two small test debits (less than $1 each) to our external account.  But I never received an email to confirm the test debits and our external bank account is not saved in the QB Cash account. I've tried 4 times to save our bank details and initiate a transfer.  I spoke to QB customer service who said that they could not help and that I need to talk to a Green Dot Bank representative where our money is held.  Calling Green Dot did not lead me to a live person who can help.  Our money has been tied up and not accessible for several weeks.

Hello there, @efreundel.

QuickBooks Online (QBO), will depend on the transactions downloaded from your bank. To fix this, I'd recommend getting in touch with your bank institution. This way, they can pull up your account and check the debits.

I've also added this article about categorizing bank transactions. It can help your account organize: Categorize And Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.

Also, I encourage checking our Help articles page to learn some tips and tricks in managing your QBO account. From there, you can read great articles that can guide you through the steps by steps process.

Stay in touch with us if you have other questions. We're always here to help. Take care!
