In QBO, you can cancel the subscription to remove the duplicate account. Once you cancel the QBO company, this will delete the company after a year automatically.
Here’s how:
- Tap the Gear icon at the top to choose Account and settings under Your Company.
- Go to the Billing & Subscription section to see your QuickBooks plan.
- In the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription or Cancel trial.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Just in case you want to use the canceled account, you can resubscribe and reactivate it within a given time.
