I've come to help you check why your payment is on hold, @visualguita-gmai.
When you have QuickBooks Payments, you can take and process payments in QuickBooks. Once payment is on hold, this means we need to review it to protect the interests of all parties involved in the process.
You'll see the word "Withheld" under the Method column once payment is on hold. With this, you need to check your email at the address you use to sign in to the Merchant Service Center to give you specific steps to fix any issues.
Then, you can also check the history of the payment by visiting your account in the Merchant Service Center. It keeps a complete record of your payment activity. Here's how:
- Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
- From the homepage, select Activities & Reports.
- Choose Deposits.
- Select the date range in the Dates field.
- Select Search.
After the payment is reviewed (within 2 business days), you'll receive your payment, and your money is on its way. Please know that some banks hold onto funds after we deposit them. With this, you'll need to work with them for additional verification steps.
Once your payments are downloaded to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, all you have to do is categorize them. To learn more about it, you can check out this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It also includes information about income and expense categories in QBSE.
Also, I'm adding this article learn more on how QuickBooks Payments handles your deposit and funds: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.
Let me know in the comments if you have other payments and deposit concerns in QBSE. I'm always around to help. Take care and stay safe, @visualguita-gmai.
