Just started using QB Payments - Bank. I have 3 deposits but they have not arrived in the bank. What does the CLEAR PAYMENTS button do? "Clear" the payment to my bank?

Just started using QB Payments - Bank. I have 3 deposits but they have not arrived in the bank. What does the CLEAR PAYMENTS button do? "Clear" the payment to my bank?

Thank you for continuing to use QuickBooks Online for your business, @mike-brie2-com. I’ll share some information regarding your deposits and the clear payment button.

 

Within 2-3 business days of the transaction, the money should arrive in your deposit bank account. However, it also varies depending on the time of day you input transactions, the financial institution you choose for deposits, and the time it takes your bank to check and process electronic deposits.

 

Credit card payments typically take 5-7 banking days to reach your bank, while ACH deposits can take 7–10 business days.

 

Follow the procedures below to check the status of processed payments:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. From the left navigation pane, select the Sales menu and click the Deposits tab.
  3. Select the bank deposit you want to review.

Furthermore, the Clear Payment button in the Received payment will clear the amount automatically entered in the Amount Received box after checking the invoice transactions.

Thanks very much. Just to clarify; the Clear Payment button will progress (approve) the payment to be processed to my bank?
