Buy nowInexplicably, on about April 16, QBO started failing to download multiple bank transactions. There are several days when all of them are downloaded; other days when none of them are downloaded; and some days where a few, but not all, transactions are downloaded.
In three weeks time, there are over a hundred missing transactions making about a $20K discrepancy between my bank and QBO. It was difficult to discover at first, because so many transactions are still downloaded. (There have not been any erroneous or “false” transactions downloaded.)
I have not been able to find a common thread in the failed transactions. A vendor’s transactions may download one day and not the next.
Is there a “repair” function for this?
I want to assure you brutewolf, that we take your concerns seriously in resolving your missing transactions. I'll provide you a workaround on how to get this issue sorted.
The possible reason for missing transactions is when the bank connection is not updated. I recommend checking your bank website to see if your bank is under maintenance. If not, I suggest to update it manually so that your bank transactions will sync in automatically with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Here's how:
This synchronizes all your linked bank and credit card accounts. If QuickBooks retrieves new transactions, you will see an increase in the transaction count displayed on each account tile.
On the other hand, If the issue persist you can manually upload transactions through a CSV file. That way, you can fill in the gaps of missing transactions.
Moving forward, we recommend re-establishing your bank connection to ensure that your transactions are consistently updated in a timely manner.
Here's how:
Additionally, once you have successfully retrieved your missing transactions, you may begin the process of categorizing them accordingly.
Furthermore, we have a team of experts who can offer personal guidance on managing your daily transactions and as well as in teaching the best bookkeeping practices to increase your efficiency. Check out QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted for more details.
Please let me know if you have follow-up questions or concerns with your missing transactions. I'll be right here if you need assistance. Have a great day ahead!
I wrote a response, but Intuit seems to have lost it, (which is perhaps a metaphor.)
This isn’t a workable solution. I’m trying to run a small business (private practice physician). I only need you to do one thing for me: download all transactions.
The problem persists. On May 6, there were nine deposits in the bank, only six of them downloaded. There is no pattern to which transactions are skipped. Some days, no transactions are brought in; other days all of them; other days just a few transactions are downloaded.
Please don’t blame it on the bank. (My wife has a completely separate business, but is not having issues. I’m downloading multiple private accounts from the same bank into Quicken without issues.) The problems are large, random, and ongoing.
I can’t afford a full-time employee just to quality check QuickBooks. I’ve used Quickbooks since 2005, and QuickBooks Online since Intuit forced it on me.
I need real help.
Good morning, @brutewolf.
