QBO Bank Connection not Syncing Multiple Chase Accounts

It looks like there's an issue with qbo 2019 syncing my chase savings and checking accounts. For example, if I reconnect my checking account and manually update, it breaks the connection on the savings account, and vice-versa then gives the error message, "Looks like we don’t have access to this account. Let’s make sure it’s connected to QuickBooks. (352)"

I've attempted to reconnect / manually update the accounts several times and nothing doing. I'm using the same chase login credentials for both accounts. How can I get the sync to quit breaking everytime?

Hello there, Fun-numbers.

I've checked our records and didn't see an open investigation about the error you've encountered.

Though, I've got a few steps for you to try:

  1. Click Banking, then choose Banking.
  2. Click Add account.
  3. Search and choose Chase bank.
  4. Follow the prompts.
  5. Make sure all the accounts are checked (Even if it is already connected).
  6. Once you're on the page where QuickBooks Online is asking you to map your account, close it.
  7. Restart QuickBooks Online.

Once you're back in, your accounts should update without any errors.

You can keep us updated after trying these steps. Just leave a comment below.

I'm not sure where you checked because there are several posts about this. See links below:

As stated - this is something I had done. Rather than having me blindly follow your instructions, maybe a queue on what is the real problem and how to actually fix it might help.

QBO Bank Connection not Syncing Multiple Chase Accounts

Hi there, @fun-numbers.

Thanks for reaching back out to us. Allow me to help and share some information to get past the bank connection issue that you're experiencing.

Error 352 means that QuickBooks has no longer access to one of their accounts. This can happen if you revoke access to an account on your financial institution's website.

If you need QuickBooks to gather the transactions from your account we'll need to re-entitle the connection between QuickBooks and your bank.

Let me guide you how:

  1. Navigate to the Banking page.
  2. Click on the account displaying error 352.
  3. Click on the link that says Sign in to.
  4. Enter your bank's login credentials.
  5. Select all accounts that you want Intuit/ QuickBooks to have access to.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. The OAuth window will close after this step.
  8. Click Update to make sure transactions now download into the account.

On the other hand, if you want to revoke access, you can disconnect this account from QuickBooks by following the steps:

  1. Click on pencil icon from the bank which is connected to QuickBooks.
  2. Selecting Edit account info.
  3. Next select Disconnect this account on save.
  4. Click Save.

For more details about fixing online banking issues in QuickBooks Online, please refer to these articles below:

If the issue persists after trying these steps, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the proper tools to check on your account and verify what's causing the issue.

That should help you get past the error that you received, @fun-numbers.

Keep me posted how it goes. I'll be around if you need more assistance with this banking error or any concerns with QuickBooks. Have a lovely day ahead!

Betty it seems you did not comprehend my post. As I've stated, this is something I've already done. It's pointless to restate what error 352 means when I can see the error message right in front me. The issue is not about connecting, is about staying connected. The Checking and Savings account do not stay connected/synced at the same time. If I click on the Banking menu, select Checking tab then click Update, it manually updates checking but breaks the connection with saving, and vice-versa. Makes sense?

QBO Bank Connection not Syncing Multiple Chase Accounts

Hi there, fun-numbers.

A cache issue might cause a browser's unusual behavior.

Let's perform a few troubleshooting steps and check if this is a browser-related concern. Let's log in using a private window and perform the task there. If it works, go back to the original browser and clear the cache. This way, the Internet files that might be causing the browser issue will be deleted. Also, I would recommend using different browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari.

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend giving our customer care team a call. This way, they can help you further regarding with your banking issue.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Go to Help (question mark icon).
  2. Click Contact us.
  3. Enter a brief description in the how can we help? field and click Continue.
  4. Choose an option in contacting our live agent.

I'll be around to help if you have more questions.

Hi Joyce, Thanks for the reply. I managed to resolve the issue. I switched to Chrome browser and followed steps 4 and 5 from Kristine Mae's response. However, the process is not intuitive in QBO when attempting to sync multiple accounts for new users, especially new users coming from Freshbooks. Here are the steps I followed. Mainly for new users who have already added multiple bank accounts and are experiencing the one or more of their bank connections breaking after a manual update.

1. I clicked on the Banking tab

2. Since I added my Checking and Savings accounts previously, I click on Update to manually update / sync the latest batch of bank transactions.

3. I notice my Savings account updates successfully. However, there's an exclamation mark with the error message "Looks like we don’t have access to this account. Let’s make sure it’s connected to QuickBooks. (352)" below my Checking account.

4. I follow the prompts to reconnect the Checking account.

5. I get to the page prompting me to Choose the accounts. (Previously, I would just select Checking account because the Savings account was already connected or at least I thought the connection was persistent.) This time I select Choose all accounts since I only have the 2.

6. Clicked Next and followed the prompts to complete the connection.

The problem is new users might not understand the necessity of Choosing all accounts to resolve an issue with only one of their bank accounts. It might be a big benefit to add some contextual help tips to guide new people.
