The bank wants a OFX or CONN file, however we're using QB Online version and I can't find where I get those files. Is anyone else having this issue and does anyone know if this is a bank or QBO problem?

I've checked my resources, and currently, there isn't an investigation about First Financial that fits your issue. I recommend calling our phone agents so they can create an investigation ticket about this. That way, they can directly reach out to your financial institution and work for a fix.

A warm welcome to the Community, PromotionsEtc.
I'm here to help you get the OFX file so you can download and update your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. Let's get started.
The OFX file is also known as a WebConnect file. This format gets transactions from a financial institution and widely supported by QuickBooks Online. The OFX format allows extended variants of itself. Extended OFX variants should be compatible and provide additional details.
You can download transactions from your bank’s website into QuickBooks using our WebConnect feature.
Download transactions from your bank's website:
Upload the file to your QuickBooks Online company:

Should you need more help with downloading and updating your bank transactions, please let me know. I'm here to help.
Thanks for responding! However, I don't need to download transactions, they are downloading, they're just not downloading with enough information to allow me to book them into their proper accounts without logging into the bank and looking up each transaction.
The Bank is the one asking for our OFX or CONN files...
Hello there, @PromotionsEtc.
Thanks for getting back and providing more details about your banking issue.
The data we receive is dependent upon what your financial institution sends over to QuickBooks Online. I suggest contacting your bank to verify if they're under maintenance or having an issue with their system.
Could you also provide me your financial institution, so I can check if there are any on-going issue about the downloaded transaction without enough account information?
Once I have the details, I'll be glad to look into it for you. Just click the "Reply" button or mention my name.
Thanks!
The bank is First Financial, our branch is in Fairfield, OH.
I know the issue is with them, but I don't think they know where the problem stems from...thanks for helping!

Hi lindels,
You can verify your bank's website if the system has an ongoing issue.
Meanwhile, you can use a Web Connect for this. It's a way to bring your transactions to QuickBooks. I have the supported file formats below:
If you have follow-up questions, just post a reply to this thread. We'll be around.
Please read previous issue!!! We can download the transactions but there isn't enough information to determine what they are without logging into the bank to pull up each transaction. It shows up with this big long name: POS DEB 1052 3/31/19 60678929 S. The (S) is the beginning of the name of the place the debit card was ran. That is impossible to know. The checks have NO information on them at all. Just Check 1042 I think it is set up wrong. Please check in with First Financial www.bankatfirst.com in Indiana and Ohio. Thank you as I have been fighting this for over a year and they say it is your fault and Intuit/Quickbooks says it is their fault. I don't care who's fault it is but it is a pain to have to go back into the bank to look up every transaction.
Hello there, lindels.
To use the Web Connect feature, which was provided by my colleague SarahannC is the best workaround to get the information on each transaction.
The other way is to log in to your bank's website and view the details, or print the bank statement. Then, use it to categorize the bank transactions.
You can get more details about the Web Connect here: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to comment on this thread if you have other questions or concerns. Thanks.
I have used Web Connect that is how I get it in by going through the bank feeds center and signing in manually. It still downloads incorrectly.
Hello again, lindels. Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm here to lend a hand.
To ensure this gets resolved for you, can you please verify the file type you're using when using the WebConnect feature? Since when manually uploading bank transactions, there is a format that you need to consider.
In the meantime, I recommend checking below articles to check if the file format you're using is one of the accepted:
As always, you can get back to me if you have any additional questions. I'm here for you. Have a great day!
After several conversations and screen shots with 1st Financial, they were able to connect with the company who's software processes the data. It was an update there that changed what & how much data came through from the bank into Quickbooks Online. I now receive all the data I need to correctly book transactions.
So, my suggestion is to take screen shots with your issue bolded or somehow highlighted and keep after them to figure it out.
