I linked my bank account, and everything appears set up properly. However, only 16 transactions ( instead of a full years worth ) show up. I just set this account up, importing from Desktop, and I have to say I'm not enjoying the experience.
I see that there appears to be a "temporary" problem with Chase Bank, but I set this account up 2 months ago - I would have expected to see 2 months worth of transactions waiting for me. Do I need to manually hit the "Update" button each time? I assumed my transactions would be added in even if I do not happen to log in that month.

I see that when things don't go as expected, it can lead to that feeling, kcroy. Please know that this isn't what I want you to experience.
When it's the first time to link an account in QBO, the system will automatically download the last 90 days of transactions. Because you received a prompt about the connectivity issue, that's why other transactions that should be there are currently missing.
What we can do now is wait for the fix. You'll be notified when it's resolved by receiving another prompt on that page. Once resolved, you can manually update your bank feeds at any time to ensure that you have the most recent transactions imported into your account.
For now, you can manually upload your data using a CSV file. You can follow the steps below to bring them into QuickBooks.

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Thank you. Transactions appear to have been imported. This was partially a "user error" issue as well. It was not clear to me that each of the bank feeds had a separate number of pending transactions. I was only seeing the pending transactions from one of the accounts. I see now that the other accounts / pending transactions are listed next to each other.
It's great to hear from you again, @kcroy.

I have a similar issue to the one above. l Started using QB Online in May 2023. However, it auto loaded from January to May but I am missing June through September- 4 months in the middle of the year that didn't automatically load. I followed all the import instructions and it did not work. I tried using the QBO and CSV options and did the Update but neither worked. The transactions did not appear in the Bank Transactions file.
Hi there, kerdelt.
It appears that you have posted a similar question twice, and my colleague Clark_B has already responded to it. I have the same problem with the difference of being the qb user for years, I spent hours on this matter and still nothing
When I go to Transactions/Bank Transactions, Update, I get the following message: "Sorry, we can't update your account. Please wait a few hours and try updating again (176)."
I have used QBO for years, and now suddenly my accounts don't sync.
So I resorted to "EDIT SIGN IN INFO" and that worked once or twice but now even that isn't working as I get the following message: "That didn’t work. Try signing in again. (103)".
I have tried every combination of user name/password I can think of, to no avail - EXCEPT NOW ONLY AFTER I ATTEMPT MULTIPLE TIMES...how many times? Sometimes twice. Today it took more almost 10 tries - same user name and passwords typed in over and over and over...until POOF! It works....huh????
I have found a way around the glitch. If you go under the account you want to get transactions from, go to the pencil icon, click on it then it says "EDIT SIGN IN INFO"...but you don't edit anything - you just input your user name and password. Sometimes it works on first try and sometimes I have done it over and over with different user name/passwords (that I know are good). Then today, it worked after about the 8th try. Ugh...I don't have time to find detour routes around glitches but I managed to find this one. Hope it works for you, too.
Thank you for your assistance. I did get help from QB for my issue. It was caused by the appearance of shadow versions of my accounts. I don't know what caused it but bank accounts and credit cards accounts were showing up with a "-1" version of the account. And, when I was trying to upload the transactions I saw as missing, they were going to the shadow account vs the real account as a duplicate set of transactions. I couldn't just move them from the shadow account to the main account. I had to upload any missing transactions (via QBO files or CSV exports from by bank files) being careful to designate the real account to do the upload. Once all those were verified as in my real account in either a review or categorized status, I went into the shadow account, did an Undo on any categorized transactions to put them into Review and from there moved everything into the Exclude category and deleted them along with the shadow account. to be honest, I don't know if that weas the right procedure or not or if my reports will be correct but I figured this the best way to try to get my real accounts to reflect what was on my bank and credit card statements. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks for joining the thread and adding a screenshot, @sster.
Once you import bank transactions, you should be able to see the bank accounts you've created inside QuickBooks from the drop-down list.
Sometimes, too much accumulated cache in the browser can cause unexpected behavior in the program. This can be the reason why you're getting this experience during the importation process.
To fix the issue, I'd suggest opening your account in a private window. Doing this will help us check if the problem is related to a cache issue. Here's how to access your account in incognito mode:
Once done, try to import your bank transactions again. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If the issue persists, use another supported browser instead.
After your transactions are in, you can now categorize them. This way, they will go straight to your bank's register.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions about importing your bank data into QuickBooks. I'll be here to help you out. Have a good one.
New browser did the trick. Thanks!
Good morning, @sster.
Thanks for reaching back out.
I'm glad my colleague was able to provide you with some steps to fix your issue.
I'm only a reply away if you need me again. Have a wonderful day!
Hey Sarahaan! When you say the following; What we can do now is wait for the fix. You'll be notified when it's resolved by receiving another prompt on that page. Once resolved, you can manually update your bank feeds at any time to ensure that you have the most recent transactions imported into your account.
What do you mean by the fix? I logged into my quickbooks account and see that my bank wasn't connected for many months (since last June) and when I reconnected, only the last 3 months were reconciled. Does QB slowly start updating the transactions over time or do I have to do something else?
