Thanks for letting us know, michelle.
Let me help get the bank feeds working for you.
May I know the specific bank you're having problems with and isn't it updating automatically? I'd appreciate if you can elaborate more about this so I can conduct further investigation, and provide you the best route to resolve the issue.
For the meantime, you can try to manually update your bank feeds, and see if it downloads your bank transactions. You can follow the steps below for the process:
If the transactions aren't still downloading, I suggest to manually download your bank transactions from your bank's website, and import them into QuickBooks using a Webconnect file. Please refer to this link for the steps under Upload or Import bank transactions: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145233.
Please let me know how it goes by commenting below. I'd appreciate any response and I'm always here if you need more help. Stay safe!
Anyone have Bank of Amerca credit cards stopping feeding with QBO as of october 11. no errors shown but nothing feeds/syncs
Thanks for adding to the conversation, AleciaRS,
Let me give you an update about the online banking issue you're getting.
The problem with Bank of America transactions not updating in the bank feeds is currently tagged as an ongoing issue in QuickBooks Online. They're already investigating the root cause of this unexpected hitch and are working to get this fixed.
While they do, we would suggest getting in touch with our Support Team to have you added to our notification list of affected users. Here's how you can contact us: QuickBooks Online Care Support
I'm just a post away if you need further assistance with QuickBooks, AleciaRS. Please feel free to fill me in the thread.
Auto download has been working fine, now for the past month, the same transaction downloads multiple times. Can I turn off automatic download and just handle manually? It is driving me insane.
Welcome to the Community, Laura_C.
Allow me to share some insights about downloading transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Turning off the automatic download for your transactions is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can disconnect the account from the downloaded transaction page. Here's what will happen if you disconnect an account:
To disconnect the account:
For more details about this process, please refer to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Banking-and-bank-feeds/Disconnect-or-delete-an-account-from-....
Also, you can manually upload your bank transactions to QuikBooks using the WebConnect feature. With this, you can download the transactions from your banks' website then upload it to QBO.
For the steps for performing this process, please refer to this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Banking-and-bank-feeds/How-to-upload-more-than-90-days-of-ba....
That should guide you in fixing this transaction issue.
I'm just a post away if you have any questions about these steps or with QuickBooks. Wishing you and your business continued success.
Right - I do know how to manually upload. I don't want to disconnect because then my bank account info is gone from my bank menu of items. I just wondered if there is some bug in the system causing it to download multiple transactions. As I mentioned, it's been working fine since January 1, now all of a sudden it's duplicating and triplicating transactions. Worse yet, it's coding the duplicates incorrectly. For instance, a payroll check for one employee was coded as an award for another employee.
Hello there, Laura_C.
There are a few potential reasons why you’re getting duplicate downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online. It can be caused by manually entering the checks in QuickBooks Online, then connecting your bank. Downloading and accepting all transactions which include those you've already entered.
It may also be due to doing manual updates between the times that the account updates automatically. It's also possible that duplicate entries are caused by connectivity issues when communicating with our systems.
If you haven’t accepted them yet, you can exclude these duplicates from the For Review tab. Here’s how:
I’d also recommend contacting our Banking team. They have the necessary tools to securely access your account and double-check what’s causing these duplicates and triplicates to show.
You can see our most-up-to-date contact information here:

That should do it! You should now be able to get rid of these duplicates.
Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions. I’m only a comment away!
Nope - none of the things you mentioned are the issue. There is something wonky going on with the bank downloads. For instance, 2 random transactions from 8/21 and 9/25 downloaded for the 4th time today. I've already accepted the originals and excluded the duplicates numerous times. My account has also been reconciled through 9/30. Please make it stop. LOL!
Mine hasnt been updating for days now. Hope this issue gets resolved soon, this happens way too often, and for over $800 a year for quickbooks online and quickbooks payroll, one would expect these issues to be non existent
Hey there, Laura_C.
I'd be glad to help point you in the right direction regarding with duplicate transactions.
Since Community is a peer-to-peer forum, I won't be able to check your account without asking for sensitive information. For security purposes, it would be best to contact our QuickBooks Online Support. They can pull up your account to determine why the transactions are duplicating.
Good day, James Stringbean.
I'm here to lend a hand with updating your bank account. So, let's get started.
If your bank is one of the participating financial institutions that support direct connect, you can follow the steps in this article to update your account:
Bank Feeds Direct Connect FAQ.
As an alternative, you can run a manual update to restore the bank connection.
Here's how:
You know where to find me if there's anything else I can assist with. Have a great rest of the week.
With all due respect, obviously I have tried manually updating my bank feed. I'm fairly intuitive when it comes to handling my accounting, and I can assure you this is an issue that is out of my control. This isn't the first time it has happened either...
Hi, James Stringbean.
Thanks for reaching back out to us. I want to ensure that you'll get the best possible.
So that I'm able to provide you with the best information, may I know what specific bank institution are you connected with? Any details are much appreciated so we can better verify if there are current issues with your financial institution.
I look forward to your reply. Have a great day.
I Bank locally with Community First Credit Union of Florida. I just logged into QuickBooks and attempted to update again, still no luck. I'm going to get backed up real quick 😞
Thanks for commenting back, @James Stringbean.
I've checked my tools, and I was able to confirm that there's an open investigation about Community First Credit Union of Florida unable to update bank transactions. We don't recommend manually uploading your transactions for it may cause duplication.
While our Product Development Team is communicating with your financial institution, we'd like to add your account information on our list of affected users. Once added, our engineers will see how widespread this is, as well as any common components between those affected. You'll also get all the updates through email notifications.
You can give us a call using the contact number in this article: QBO Customer Care Phone Support.
Thank you for understanding. I will also get back into this thread once I get an update.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing back from you
