Thanks for sharing your concern with us, JCampbell.

You'll want to look for a third-party application that can help convert your CVS Mac file to a Windows CVS file.

To review your CSV file format, you can visit this article for the steps on how to do so: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

Once done, you can re-import the data. For more information, visit this article: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed

Then, you'll want to review the data to guarantee there are no duplicates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions button.
  2. Choose All in the Account and Date drop-down arrow.
  3. Examine the data. If there are any identical transactions, please delete them.
  4. Review and categorize the transactions to put them in your accounts.

Also, would you mind sharing with me the exact error message so I can provide more accurate steps to fix it?

For other banking questions in QBSE, feel free to visit this link: Banking.

The details on how to get in touch with the support are outlined in this article: How to contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

I've got your back if you need more help. I'm always happy to lend a hand. Have a good one.

Sure thank you.

So at this point I have subscribed to Microsoft Office 365 to gain access to Microsoft Excel. However this does not seem to solve the problem as whenever I try to save a file in Microsoft Excel as a CSV file it is still saved as an iOS file and not a Microsoft file despite using Microsoft software. I’ve tried saving and ezportomg it in multiple ways while being on customer support with QB, as well as Apple and Microsoft Office 365 basic customer service (They told me the that one of their Excel specialist should be able to resolve it but that would be at additional cost, which might end up being my only solution)

Can you give suggestions to the third-party apps you’re referring to?

I don't believe that is going to be helpful in converting a Mac CSV file into a Microsoft CSV file.

@JCampbell

Explore SlickConnect in the link as I mentioned earlier to import CSV into your QBSE account on Mac.
