Let's perform a few troubleshooting steps to determine the reason why you're unable to upload and migrate your company data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks online and resolve them.
In QuickBooks Desktop, it's best to regularly check if the latest released version and the payroll tax table files are installed. This way, the program can perform its functions to give you the best experience while working with us.

Let's begin our troubleshooting steps by performing the series of steps outlined below:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Download the QuickBooks Tool hub.
- Open and install the downloaded file.
- On the QuickBooks Tool app, select Program Problems.
- Click Quick Fix my Program.
But if the steps above didn't make any changes to the issue currently raised, let's continue our troubleshooting steps by following the steps below:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Go to Start.
- Select Control Panel.
- Under Program and Features, select Uninstall a Program.
- From the list of applications, select QuickBooks.
- Select Uninstall/Change.
- Click Repair.
Once done, restart your desktop first before working again with QuickBooks. Then, right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your Desktop, select Run as Administrator, and move your company data accordingly.
