Thanks for performing some troubleshooting steps to get the Bank Feeds working, megadaveinc.
I've checked here on our end and we currently have an ongoing investigation for the error 9999 on Chase bank. Our engineers are working together for the permanent fix.
Cases like this, it would be best contact our Customer Support Team. They'll add you to the list of affected users.
Here's how:
In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. You can also import them using Excel CSV (comma-separated values) files.
Once the issue is fixed, you can exclude expenses from downloaded bank transactions if there are duplicate ones.
We appreciate your patience in this matter. I'll also keep an eye on the issue and will get back to you if there's an update. You have a good one.
I'm having the same problem. Firefox is up to date but cannot connect my new card.
Hello alcampbell,
We still have an open investigation regarding the error. It'd b best to speak with our Customer Care Team about it so they can add you to the list of affected customers. You'll receive email updates from our engineers about their progress. You can follow the steps provided by RCV to reach them.
Temporarily, we canimport a WebConnect file to bring your bank transactions to QuickBooks Online. You can get this file from your bank's website. Then, you can reformat the file if necessary.
We'd appreciate your patience as we work for a fix.
Did you guys ever figure this out? It has been going on for nearly 2 years now?
Thanks for joining us here, mightyjoe.
The investigation (for error 9999 with Chase) that's attached to this thread is already closed and resolved. Let me share some steps that can resolve common banking issues in QuickBooks Online.
Start by using or switching to an incognito or private browsing session. Use these keyboard shortcuts to open one depending on the browser that you're using:
Once done, go back to the Banking menu and click the Update button.
I would also recommend reaching out to our Chat and Phone Support Team just in case you're still getting the same error. They'll take a closer look at this to check why you're still experiencing the same error in QBO. Here"s how:
I'll be around if you need anything else.
is that solution only for online version?
Thanks for joining this thread, puglisireno.
Yes, this thread is for QuickBooks Online. As per checking, there's no open case/investigation about error 9999 with Chase for both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
I'd like to know if you having issues with banking. It's best if you can add more details about it so I can share the resolution. In the meantime, you'll want to check these links on how to fix banking errors:
Keep on posting here if you have more questions. I'll be here!
I have been registering this complaint for the past 3-4 years. No one has shared any resolutions.
Firstly, Chase.com stopped allowing transactions downloads. From Oct14, Wells Fargo is doing the same.
I have the latest Chrome and Edge browsers installed. Both my banks take QB Desktop Pro 2019 web browser as a security risk.
What resolution has been achieved in this situation for desktop users. It is not enough to tell us to do manual downloads and imports. That's not what we paid full price software for.
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this, hirani_manji.
If none of the steps shared above worked, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can review your bank connection and investigate what's causing this issue on why transactions are not downloading.
Here's how:
If you have the new QuickBooks Assistant help update, you can follow these steps:
Once you have the transactions downloaded in the Banking page, you can start categorizing and matching them. The instructions are included in this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
