I've not been able to download credit card transactions from Chase. I called Chase and they said transactions can only be downloaded directly from their website (not using QB). I have the file downloaded (QBO) and ready to upload into QB, however, when trying to import using Web Connect it brings up some of my accounts but not the Chase account. What am I doing wrong?
Hello there, @Chrissybrit77.
Let's get your Chase bank transactions imported into your QuickBooks Desktop company file so you can get back to business.
Since your Chase bank account isn't listed from the drop-down when importing your bank transactions, you'll need to create an account. To do so, you can simply click the Create New Account from the drop-down.
Once done, you can continue importing your bank transactions into your QuickBooks Desktop company file. Feel free to check out this article for more guidance: Connect with Web Connect (.QBO) files.
After you've successfully imported the transactions, you can now add and match them. Then, reconcile your bank account when you're ready. This will help make sure your QuickBooks transactions match your real-life bank statement.

I'm having the same problem where the .QBO file opens in Quickbooks, but the software won't link it with my existing account. You told the original poster to open a new account....but doesn't then we will have two accounts in QB that are actually the same account. And what about next time - will we create a new account each time we download transactions?
Can you clarify how to get these downloaded .QBO transactions into the existing account in Quickbooks?
Thank you.

Let me clarify things and share the steps to import bank transactions in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) so you can return to working order.
When importing .QBO files, you don't need to create a new Chase account since it's readily available in your Chart of Accounts. If it's unavailable, that's when you'll make one.
To import transactions into QBDT, please refer to the steps below.
If you confirmed that the account exists in your Chart of Accounts but was unavailable when you imported the file, import transactions in a sample company file. If it functions normally, return to your original company file and use the verify and rebuild data tool to resolve common bugs and issues.
Moreover, you can set rules in QBDT to categorize transactions for items you frequently spend on. There are three Bank Feed modes available, and each handles transactions differently.
Please don't hesitate to get back to us with further questions about importing bank transactions. I'm always around to assist you anytime. Have a nice day ahead!
I have several 3 credit cards with Chase that I was able to download into Quickbooks. Unfortunately, a new card I received is not listed when I go into Chase account. Any suggestions?
Hello there, bdybnis. Let's resolve this together so that your new card will appear.
If your Chase bank account isn't listed from the drop-down when importing your bank transactions, we'll need to create an account.
See the attached screenshot for reference:
On the other hand, if the new card did not appear under the Your Bank/Credit Card Accounts section, let's ensure that the banking credentials used when logging in are correct. Meanwhile, we can check it using a test/new company file to see if there's a problem with your bank's servers.
Check out this article for the step by step guide and information: Download bank feed transactions in a test company file.
Once you've imported your transactions successfully, you can match and add them before reconciling your bank account. This process helps ensure that the transactions in QuickBooks match the ones on your real-life bank statement.

I am having the same problem - I have downloaded many times before but not for about a year. In the meantime, we upgraded to Quickbooks Enterprise retail. Is that part of my problem with downloading? Do I need to set something up because when we migrated this didn't come over somehow?
I appreciate you for joining the thread, @SCh82.
Let me provide some troubleshooting steps to help you download your online transactions in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) banking feeds.
If you recently upgraded your QuickBooks, it shouldn't be the cause of the problem. To address this, you can run the Verify Data and Verify Rebuild tools which can identify any data issues within a company file and resolve them using Rebuild Data.
To run Verify Data:
Next, please run the Rebuild Data option through these steps:
Check out this article for more troubleshooting steps: How to Fix Possible Data Damage on your Company File in QuickBooks Desktop.
After following the solutions above, please restart your computer and open your QBDT account. Then attempt to import your QBO file. You can also upload the file in chunks. Check out this article for the steps on how to import .QBO files: Set up or edit bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.
On the other hand, if you've connected using this service, you'll need to disable and reconnect it to set up new connections.
Here's how:
