error OLSU1013

Thanks for taking the time to post here in the Community, @marcyk

Let's get rid of the error when trying to connect your bank.

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error code, OLSU-1013:

  1.     A problem at your bank.
  2.     Internet connection problem.
  3.     A problem with one or more accounts in your company file.
  4.     Incorrect download or import format.
  5.     A discontinued version of Windows or QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Before performing the troubleshooting steps below, let's first make sure you're currently connected to the Internet. If yes, you can verify and configure firewall security settings for the program

Second, you'll need to use the currently supported version of QuickBooks and Internet Explorer

Third, let's ensure your QBDT is updated to the latest release

Fourth, let's verify account information and access permissions by logging in to your account outside of the software. If you're able to sign in to your account, let's review the Bank Feeds log files. This way, we can check if there are connection failure messages to address them with your bank.

Fifth, let's test the results on the Classic (Register) mode to help isolate the issue. This is also required to use for statement download or import. Here's how to switch it in the Classic (Register) view:

  1.     Go to the Edit menu at the top.
  2.     Select Preferences.
  3.     Select Checking from the left menu, then click the Company Preferences tab.
  4.     In the Bank Feeds section, choose the Classic Mode (Register Mode) radio button.
  5.     Click OK.

To help fix the issue, let's enable the TLS 1.2 Security Protocol if available. Here's how:

  1.     Open Internet Explorer 11 and make sure you have the latest version installed.
  2.     Go to the Gear icon on the upper right section of Internet Explorer.
  3.     Go to Internet Options, then choose Advanced Tab.
  4.     Scroll down to the Security section.
  5.     Uncheck the USE TLS 1.0 and put a check in USE TLS 1.2.
  6.     Click Apply, then choose OK.
  7.     Close all open programs.
  8.     Restart computer.

After performing the first step, let's redownload your bank transactions. If you're still receiving the same error message, please continue to the second or until the last steps through this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds Errors

The steps above will help you fix the error code.

No, did not correct.

After an hour on the phone with Chase bank, they said problem not theirs.  They gave me an 866 # to QB and after waiting about ten minutes on hold a lady came on the line and listened to my story.  I gave her control of my computer and she tried the QB version to get on, failed.  We tried the download version, for some reason that failed, too.  My lady conversed with others on her end and tried another approach.  Still no progress.  Once again let's try activating the download, but from outside the QBs.  That worked.  I have to open up and download my accounts, save to a file and then import into QBs.  It's a workaround until Chase and QB figure out the problem.  Chase can download to QB but it will not import on it's own.  QB can download but will not import.  We have a stand off.

Not sure why I am getting this code.  Anyone have any luck getting through this?

error OLSU1013

There are several reason why you're getting the error code, gratefulaf.

  • problem at your bank
  • internet connection interruption
  • one or more accounts in the company file is damaged or corrupted
  • invalid download or import format
  • using a discontinued version of Windows or QuickBooks Desktop

Make sure you're able to download the latest version of the software. Doing this loads critical patches and fixes into the program to ensure it's working properly.

Then, let's enable TLS 1.2 in the latest version of Internet Explorer. Perform the steps below:

  1. Launch the Internet Explorer 11 browser, and make sure you have the latest version installed.
  2. Tap the Gear icon on the upper right section of the browser.
  3. Go to Internet Options > Advanced Tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section.
  5. Remove the check mark for USE TLS 1.0, then mark USE TLS 1.2.
  6. Press Apply then OK.
  7. Close all open programs and reboot computer.

If the error persists, follow the Steps 2 to 6 in the order listed in this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
