Error OLSU1036

I am having an issue with my bank feeds.
I'm trying to set up my bank feed for my wells fargo account and i keep getting error oslu1036.
I opened up my old qb business file and tried it on there and it still works there. Do I have to delete it from my old qb business file in order for it to work on my new qb business file? If so, how do I do that? If not, how do i get the feed to work or at least download the qbo file manually from wells fargo. They dont have a qbo file option when I try to downlaid transactions manually. Thanks!

Error OLSU1036

OLSU errors in QuickBooks Bank Feeds are caused by a number of reasons, askingforafriend.

This includes using an unsupported version of QuickBooks, internet connection problem, your bank’s info isn’t updated on the Financial Institutions Directory, and an outdated version of Internet Explorer. I'll share the steps that can resolve OLSU errors in QuickBooks.

First, check your Internet security requirements. Here's how:

  1. Open your Internet Explorer browser and go to Tools ⚙.
  2. Click Internet options.
  3. Proceed to the Advanced tab, then scroll-down to the Security section.
  4. See if you have TLS 1.2 checked. If not, select the box to turn it on.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Exit all open applications on your computer.
  7. Restart your computer, then try to download your transactions.

Second, update your Financial Institutions Directory in QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking, select Bank Feeds, and then Bank Feeds Center.
  2. Select the Refresh account(s) icon or choose Sync all for this bank

Once done, go back to your Bank Feeds Center and check if you can already refresh or download transactions.

Just in case you're still getting the same error, proceed to the other steps provided in this article: Fix OL And OLSU Bank Feeds Errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

I would also recommend reaching out to Wells Fargo with regards to your question about directly downloading a .QBO file from their website.

After downloading your transactions, see this article on how to find match in your bank register: Add And Match Bank Feed Transactions In QuickBooks Desktop

Error OLSU1036

Quickbooks Team,

- I can also confirm that since the last update I am also seeing OLSU-1036.

- I am no stranger to adding direct feeds in QB for many years. The problem is isolated to setting up "new" feeds. I discovered this when we got a new credit card account and tried to add a new feed. This feed was with Citi, which we have four other feeds already established. Adding the new one failed with the same OLSU-1036.

- I can also confirm that this problem is financial institution agnostic. I have tested with Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo and many others. I get the same exact error.

- I have tried to replace the "fidir.txt" file as recommended with no success.

- To further test, I created a new Company File and tried adding in a new account, with the same error.

- I also tested on a different PC, that we use for redundancy. Same error on a completely different instance of QB2018... same error.

- I do not have any "Refresh account(s) icon" or "Sync all for this bank" option in my Bank Feeds center...

- I using product number: 578-418 R16_106

**NOTE: - My existing accounts that download (seven accounts) are all functioning (downloading transactions) properly.

There is something definitely broken with the last QB2018 update for adding new feeds. I would consider this an urgent problem that needs a quick fix.
