Hi there, @maria-siler.
Welcome to the Community. The pending transactions showing in your bank’s website will also show as pending in your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. Hence, it will only flow in your bank feeds and let you categorize them when it's posted. See screenshots below.
QuickBooks Self-Employed Bank connection is also read-only. We only fetch transactions that your bank allow us to read. In addition, we focus more on what's posted as those will be the bases for the calculation of your estimated taxes.
If you're looking for a specific transaction, you can review below the pending items to see if it's already posted. Otherwise, it may have dropped off from your bank and will never reflect in QB.
Check out this article: Categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It helps you learn about which specific category you'll need to assign the transactions to make sure it will fit based on the IRS Schedule C categories.
Feel free to comment below if you have more questions. We're always here to guide. Have a great day.
Thanks for the reply.
So I downloaded the QB Self-Employed mileage tracker and taxes app. I now see the pending transactions again.
HOWEVER, on my phone amd laptop browser (chrome) it used to look like your screenshot above, but now no longer has the gray bar for pending transactions. Is someone looking into fixing this? I need to see the pending transactions and being forced to use my quickbooks on my phone app alone is going to be a nuisance.
Thanks
Good to have you back, maria-siler.
As mentioned by my colleague above, the pending transactions will show in your bank feeds if they're still in the process from your bank. Once they're posted, it won't show.
However, if there should be pending transactions and don't show in your end, we can manually refresh to trigger the updates from your bank. Here's how:
If you have any other concerns, you can always post them here.
Hi, I have opened it on mobile chrome and desktop chrome, I've tried incognito tab and also firefox. None of them have the gray pending transaction bar anymore. I attached an image. thx
Hi! I tried the incognito tab, a different browser, and clearing my cache. And they all look like the image below. No gray pending transactions bar.
