The QBO companies will only be removed if you cancel them. And if you cancel them, they will be moved to another section called Cancelled Companies, as shown below.
If you really don't want to see the QBO companies even in the Cancelled Companies section, you can remove yourself from the user's list. Ask your Master Administrator to remove yourself from there. If you are the Master Admin, invite a dummy user, have him accept the invitation, and transfer the Master Admin role to him. Thay way, he can remove you from there.
